Drawings asd a written amendment to the Zoning Ordinance were presented by the <br />staff and City Attorney, with the recommendation that this precise plan line be <br />established for the prepoeed new street. Mr. Vallorino and Mr. Madden, both prop- <br />erty owners in ,the area of the proposed new street, spoke briefly indicating that <br />the property owners adjacent to this proposed street approved of the proposed <br />action. It was moved by Commissioner Antonini, seconded by Commissioner Plato, and <br />carried, that the public hearing be closed. After further discussion by the <br />Commission, upon motion of Chairman Landon, seconded by Commissioner Johnston, the <br />following resolution was adopted by unanimous vote. <br />RESOLUTION N0. 507 <br />RESOLVED: that the Planning Commission recommends to the City <br />Council that an amendment to Ordinance No. 309 which <br />would provide for the establishment of precise plan <br />lines for future streets and street wideninga; and to <br />set a specific plan line for a proposed new street to <br />be established parallel to Vineyard Avenue, south of <br />the Arroyo del Valle, north of Vineyard Avenue, east <br />of First Street be approved subject to precise lines <br />as shown by Public Glorks Department drawing of January <br />1966, of new proposed Vine Street. <br />The next item on the agenda was the application of Northern Neon, 315 Washington <br />Street, Oakland, for a Zoning Permit in order to install an internally lighted, <br />plastic sign in connection with the Gay 90's Pizza, 288 Main Street, in a C-C <br />District. After discussion by the Commission, it was determined to notify the <br />applicant, who was not present, and advise that a Conditional Use Permit should <br />be applied for, rather Chan a Zoning Permit; and have it appear on the agenda of <br />some future meeting. <br />The next item on the agenda was the request of Pleasanton Women's Club for modi- <br />fication of landscaping plan, Kottinger Village Park. Mr. Fales presented the <br />staff report and after discussion by the Commission, upon motion of Chairman <br />Landon, seconded by Commissioner Antonini, the following resolution was adopted <br />by unanimous vote. <br />RESOLUTION N0. 508 <br />RESOLVED: that the Planning Commission hereby amends Conditional <br />Use Permit - UP 64-13 - to modify Landscaping require- <br />ments with Staff recommendation for planting as annotated <br />on drawings. <br />The next item on the agenda was a further report Re: Underground Utilities. Mr. <br />Fales pointed out that the League of California Cities is formulating a report <br />together with the Public Utilities Commission. It was determined to wait until the <br />March meeting of the Mayor's Conference for a more detailed report and wait until <br />that time to make a recommendation to the City Council. Upon motion of Commissioner <br />Johnston, seconded by Commissioner Antonini, and carried, it was determined that <br />a policy statement of the Planning Commission to Subdivision Committee be made, <br />instructing that new subdivisions be informed of intention for underground utilities. <br />Referrals from Alameda County - Pacific Gas and Electric Company wish to construct <br />an electrical distribution substation at intersection of Calavaras Road with State <br />Highway 680. After discussion by the Com<nisaion, upon motion of Chairman Landon, <br />seconded by Commissioner Antonini, and carried, it was determined to recommend to <br />the County Planning Commission approval of the above mentioned request per staff <br />report. <br />There were no Matters for the Information of the Commission. <br />There were no Reports of Commission Committees. <br />There being no further business to come before the r~smeission, upoa motion of <br />Commissioner Antonini, seconded by Commissioner Jo:-..zt®S, aed carried, tha meeting <br />was adjourned at 10:30 P.M., to meet again on Wedna..:''ay, Febraary 9, 1916, aE <br />8:00 P.M. <br />,~ <br />~ > <br />i <br />j Sec et ry <br />~`,/J <br />
