M I N U T E S <br />of <br />TES PLANNING COMMISSION <br />Pleasanton, California <br />March 23, 1966 <br />The regularly scheduled meeting of the Planning Commission was called to order at <br />8:03 P.M., on Wednesday, March 23, 1966, by Chairman Landon. <br />ROLL CALL showed the following: <br />Present: Commissioner Antonini <br /> Johnston <br /> Rega <br />Chairman Landon <br />Secretary Falea <br />Absent: Commissioner Plato <br />Donald Soob}+; Asaidtant Civil Engineer, was present acting on behalf of the City <br />Engineer, Alan Campbell. <br />Upon motion of Commissioner Johnston, seconded by Commissioner Rega, the minutes of <br />the meeting of March 9, 1966, were approved as presented by unanimous vote. <br />Chairman Landon opened the public hearing on the application of Stoneaon Development <br />Corporation, 3150 20th Avenue, San Francisco, for an amendment to Ordinance No. 309 <br />rezoning approximately 161 acres, as indicated on the Tentative Subdivision Map, <br />Tract 2843, located on the east side of Foothill Road north of Tract No. 2724, from <br />the Interim A District to the R-1 District. The application for rezoning and the <br />approval for the Tentative Map were considered simultaneously. Mr. Fales pre- <br />sented the staff report, dated March 23, 1966, which listed recommended conditions <br />of approval. Mr. Ted Fairfield was present in the audience and spoke on a few <br />possible changes in the staff conditons. Upon motion of Chairman Landon, seconded <br />by Commissioner Antonini, and carried,-the public hearing was closed. After further <br />discussion, upon motion of Chairman Landon, seconded by Commissioner Antonini, the <br />following resolution was adopted with vote as follows: AYES: Commissioners <br />Antonini, Johnston, Chairman Landon. NOES: Commissioner Rega. <br />RESOLUTION N0. 534 <br />WHEREAS, the application of the Stoneson Development <br />Corporation, 3150 20th Avenue, San Francisco, <br />for an amendment to Ordinance No. 309 rezoning <br />approximately 161 acres, as indicated on the <br />Tentative Subdivision Map, Tract No. 2843, <br />located on the east aide of Foothill Road north <br />of Tract No. 2724, from the Interim A District <br />to the R-1 District, has come before this <br />Commission: <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT <br />RESOLVED: that the Planning Commission recommends to the City <br />Council that subject property be rezoned from the <br />Interim A to the R-1 District, and further recommends <br />that the City Council not hold a Public Hearing on <br />the rezoning until the staff and subdivider have <br />come to an agreement on the question of providing parka. <br />The discussion then turned to the Tentative Subdivision Map for Tract 2843. Mr. <br />John Blayney spoke stating that he felt the Tentative Map should show school sites, <br />park sites, etc, to avoid misunderstanding at a Later time. Mr. Blayney further <br />stated that regarding lot sizes, if the General Plan was not going to be adhered to, <br />then it should be amended. After further discussion, upon motion of Commissioner <br />Rega, seconded by Commissioner Antonini, the following resolution was adopted by <br />unanimous vote. <br />
