The next item on the agenda was Referrals from Alameda County. The matter discussed
was the Geldermann development which has been approved by the County for development.
The proposal is for one acre minimum parcels without sewer. The subdivision map was
restricted to minimum five acre parcels with septic tanks; now the developer proposes
one acre parcels with septic tanks. Due to a cost factor, one acre parcels had been
approved with sewer but now the proposal is for one acre parcels with septic tank.
It was generally felt that the County Planning Commission should be reminded of this
fact. Upon motion of Chairman Landon, seconded by Commissioner Antonini, the
following motion was adopted by unanimous vote.
MOVED: That City Staff inform the County Planning Commission
of the difference in one and five acre parcels with
sewer and septic tanks, as discussed by the Commission.
Under Matters for the Information of the Commission, the matter of appointing another
Commissioner L-o serve on the Subdivision Committee was considered. The reason being
that there would be a much greater opportunity to obtain a quorum for the Subdivision
Committee meetings. Commissioner Plato accepted the appointment.
1~ere being no further business to come before the Commission, upon motion of
Commissioner Antonini, seconded by Chairman Landon, and carried, the meeting was
adjourned at 10:23 P,M., to meet again on Wednesday, April 27, 1966, at 8:00 P.M.
