The next item on the agenda was further consideration of Livingston and Blayney <br />report concerning Regulation of Mult-Family Dwelling Development. Mr. Edgar <br />summarized the Livingston a nd Blayney report, dated May 20, 1966, breaking it down <br />into tcao parts; First, the procedure for cocrvertin~ R-1 areas to R-6 which are <br />General Planned R-6; and second, the standards for R-6 development. After consid- <br />erable discussion, upon motion of Commissioner Arnold, seconded by Commissioner <br />Garrigan, the following resolution was adopted by unanimous vote. <br />RESOLUTION N0. 598 <br />WHEREAS, the consideration of Mult-Family Dwelling <br />Development has come before this Commission: <br />NOW, Tl4;REFORE, BE IT <br />RESOLVED: to adopt the four point procedure as outlined <br />in the Livingston and Blayney report dated <br />May 20, 1966. <br />After further discussion concerning Part 2 of this report dealing with standards, it <br />was determined to defer action on this matter until such time as the new Ordinance <br />considerations and recommendations are presented. Mr. George Stanton, representing <br />Associated Home Builders, was present in the audience and presented a rebuttal to <br />the Livingston and Blayney report. Mr. Stanton also submitted a report to the <br />Commission for their information. After further discussion, upon motion of Commis- <br />sioner Arnold, seconded by Commissioner Johnston, and carried, the following motion <br />was unanimously adopted. <br />MOVED: to defer review of the section on standards until <br />the new Zoning Ordinance has been reviewed. <br />The next item on the agenda was the discussion of development plan; Stoneson <br />Development Corporation. Mr. Edgar referred to the memorandum to the Planning <br />Commission from the City Manager concerning this subject. Mr. Fairfield presented <br />the plan for review and went on to explain the Regional Center and tenants. After <br />considerable discussion, it was determined that there were no major conflicts in <br />the plan presented that the Commission could determine at this time. The Commission <br />determined to take a field trip to the Stoneson property to view the area and <br />thereby it would enable the Commission to better make a decision when the Tentative <br />Map is submitted. <br />Under Matters for the Information of the Commission, Mr. Edgar requested the <br />Commission to schedule a study session with the City Council, sometime before the <br />middle of August, for the purpose of discussing shopping center eights. <br />There being no further business to come before the Co~iasion, upon motion of <br />Commissioner Johnston, seconded by Commissioner Arnold, and carried, the meeting was <br />adjourned at 10:55 P.M., to meet again on Wednesday, AuBuat 10, 1966, at 8:00 P.M. <br />
