M I N U T E S <br />of <br />THE PLANNING COMMISSION <br />Pleasanton, California <br />August 31, 1966 <br />The regularly scheduled meeting of the Planning Commission was called to order at <br />8:00 P.M., on Wednesday, August 31, 1966, by Vice-Chairman Johnston. <br />ROLL CALL showed the following: <br />Present: Commissioner Arnold <br />Carrigan <br />Vice-Chairman Johnston <br />Secretary Fales <br />Absent: Commissioner Plato <br />Chairman Antonini <br />Upon motion of Commissioner Arnold, seconded by Commissioner Carrigan, and carried, <br />the minutes of the meeting of August L0, 1966, were approved as presented by unani- <br />mous vote. <br />Commissioner Plato joined the meeting at 8:01 P.M. <br />Vice-Chairman Johnston opened the public hearing on the application of A. A. <br />Baptista, 305 Adams Court, for a Variance from Section 18.603, Ordinance No. 309 in <br />order to allow construction of a fence exceeding 30 inches in height within the <br />building setback area, at the above address in an R-1 District. Mr. Falea presented <br />the staff report which recommended approval. Mr. Baptista was present in the <br />audience. Upon motion of Commissioner Carrigan, seconded by Commissioner Arnold, <br />and carried, the public hearing was cloned. After further discussion, upon motion <br />of Commissioner Arnold, seconded by Commissioner Plato, the followinC resolution <br />was adopted by unanimous vote. <br />RESOLUTION N0~_605 <br />WBBREAS, the application of R. A. Baptista, 305 Adana <br />Court, for a Variance from Section 18.603, <br />Ordinance No. 309 in order to allow construction <br />of a fence exceeding 30 inches in height within <br />the building setback area, at the above address <br />in an R-1 District, has come before this Co®ission: <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT <br />RESOLVED: that the above named application be aplroved. <br />Vice-Chairman Johnston opened the public hearing on the application of Robert W. <br />Magoon, 818 East Angela Street, for a Variance from Sections 6.500 and 17.600 of the <br />Zoning Ordinance in order to allow a reduced aide yard and setback for a swimming <br />pool. Mr. Fales presented the staff report which recommended approval. Upon motior <br />of Commissioner Carrigan, seconded by Commissioner Arnold, and carried, the public <br />hearing was closed. After further discussion, upon motion of Commissioner Plato, <br />seconded by Commissioner Arnold, the following resolution was adopted by unanimous <br />vote. <br />RESOLUTION N0. 60G <br />WHEREAS, the application of Robert W. Magoon, 818 East <br />Angela Street, for a Variance from Sections <br />6.500 and 17.600 of the Zoning Ordinance in <br />order to allow a reduced side yard for pool <br />front yard and setback fot fence, has come <br />before this Commission: <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT <br />RESOLVED: that the above named application be approved. <br />
