Another referral was to permit a retail business in an industrial area for the sale <br />and display of automobiles. This application was for a Chevrolet agency to operate <br />and there would be pedestals on which automobiles would be displayed. This site ie <br />to be located between two motels. Staff was instructed to reco®end to the County <br />Planning Commission recommending denial due to the following reasons: New and used <br />car lots not compatible with motels and hotels, poor planning, also mention the <br />possible aanesation of this area to Pleasanton. <br />Dnder matters for the information of the Commission, Mr. Campbell discussed a <br />letter received from the Division of Highways regarding a workshop on scenic high- <br />ways which is to be held on October 25, 1966, and informed the Commission that they <br />have been invited to attend if possible. <br />There being no further business to come before the Commission, upon motion of <br />Countiseioner Carrigan, seconded by Chairman Antonini, and carried, the meeting wea <br />adjourned at 10:00 P.M., to meet again on Wedneadaq, October 26, 1966, at 8:00 P.M. <br />4. <br />
