<br />WHEREAS, the application of the Alameda County Flood Control and
<br />Water Conservation District, 399 Elmhurst Street, Hayward,
<br />for a Variance from Section 4.500, Ordinance No. 309, in
<br />order to construct a water well and pumping station on
<br />property Located southeast of the intersection of Santa
<br />Rita Road and the S.P,A.A. right-of-way, in an A District,
<br />has come before this Co®ission:
<br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
<br />RESOLVED: that the above-named application be approved.
<br />Chairman Antonini opened the public hearing on the application of Alameda County
<br />Flood Control and Water Conservation District, 399 Elmhurst Street, Rayward, for a
<br />Conditional Use Permit under Section 4.309, Ordinance No. 309, in order to construct
<br />a water well and pumping station on property located southeast of the intersection
<br />of Santa Rita Road and the S1P.R~R, right-of-way, in an A District. Mr. Fales
<br />presented the staff report which recommended approval and suggested that a reason-
<br />able amount of landscaping be accomplished around the perifery of the installation.
<br />Upon motion of Commissioner Garrigan, seconded by Chairman Antonini, and carried,
<br />the public hearing was closed. After further discussion, upon motion of Chairman
<br />Antonini, seconded by Commissioner Garrigan, the following resolution was adopted
<br />by unanimous vote.

<br />WHEREAS, the application of the Alameda County Flood Control and Water
<br />Conservation District, 399 Elmhurst Street, Hayward, for a
<br />Conditional Uae Permit under Section 4.309, Ordinance No. 309,
<br />in order to construct a water well and pumping station on
<br />property located southeast of the intersection of Santa Rita
<br />Road and the S.P.R.R, right-of-way, in an A District, has
<br />come before this Commission:
<br />NOW, THEREFORE, SE IT
<br />RESOLVED: that the above-named application be approved subject to
<br />condition that a landscape plan be submitted to and approved
<br />by the Director of Fublic Works prior to any work being
<br />accomplished on the site.
<br />The next item on the agenda was the application of Victor Lund, Jr., 164 Main Street,
<br />for a Zoning Permit in order to install four non-illuminated signs at the above
<br />address, in a C-0 District. Mr. Falea presented the staff report which indicated
<br />an excess of square footage for these proposed signs. Therefore, a Variance would
<br />be required to allow erection of four aigna. The staff report further indicated
<br />a recommendation of approval for the Zoning Permit as well ae approval of a Variance
<br />if and when an application is made. Mr. Lund was present in the audience and asked
<br />permission to erect only two aigna at this time and to make an application for a
<br />Variance for the two additional aigna at a later date. After further discussion,
<br />upon motion of Commissioner Johnston, seconded by Commissioner Garrigan, and carried,
<br />it was determined that the Zoning Permit be approved for two aigna only.
<br />The next item on the agenda was the application of Frank Auf der Maur, P.O. Box 548,
<br />Pleasanton, for a Zoning Permit with Planned Unit Development, Site Plan, Architec-
<br />tural and La~lacape Approval, in order to develop a 111 unit multiple dwelling com-
<br />plex on approximately 4 acres of land located on the north aide of Vineyard Avenue
<br />in the vicinity of 3955 Vineyard Avenue, in an RG-25 District. Mr. Fales presented
<br />the staff report which recommended approval with stated conditions. Mr. Auf der Maur,
<br />with his architect, was present in the audience, and explained his development plan.
<br />After further discussion, upon motion of Commissioner Garrigan, seconded by Chair-
<br />man Antonini, and carried, it was determined that the above named application be
<br />approved subject to the following conditions:
<br />1. Complete site plan, architectural and landscaping, etc., plans be
<br />submitted for approval prior to any development of this site.
<br />2. A five-year time Limit for completion of the Planned Unit Development.
<br />3. Architectural approval be withheld until the complete plans are submitted.
