MINUTES <br />of <br />THE PLANNING COMMISSION <br />Pleasanton, California <br />December 14, 1966 <br />The regularly scheduled meeting of the Planning Commission was called to order at <br />8:00 P.M, on Wednesday, December 14, 1966, by Chairman Antonini. <br />ROLL CALL showed the following: <br />Present: Commissioners Arnold <br />Plato <br />Chairman Antonini <br />Absent: Commissioners Carrigan <br />Johnston <br />Secretary Fales <br />Mr. Alan Campbell, Director of Public Works, acted as <br />Secretary Pro Tem for this meeting. <br />Upon motion of Commissioner Arnold, seconded by Commissioner Plato, and carried, <br />the minutes of the meeting of November 23, 1966, were approved as presented by <br />unanimous vote. <br />Chairman Antonini opened the public hearing on the application of the Planning <br />Commission for an amendment to Article 18-A, Ordinance No. 309, establishing special <br />building setback and future street width lines for Santa Rita Road. Mr. Campbell <br />presented the staff report which suggested future width lines to be concentric <br />about the centerline on Santa Rita Road, beginning at Valley Avenue, to allow for <br />a six lane thoroughfare. Tassa,jara Road, also to be six lanes, but not concentric <br />around the existing right-of-way. Discussion ensued, at which time Mr. Hilliker <br />objected to additional footage being taken from a parcel of land in which he has an <br />interest. Upon motion of Conmiasioaer Arnold, seconded by Commissioner Plato, and <br />carried, the public hearing was closed. After further discussion, upon motion of <br />Commissioner Plato, seconded by Commissioner Arnold, and carried, it was determined <br />that the staff look into the matter more thoroughly and submit a report at the <br />meeting of December 28. This matter was continued to the meeting of December 28, <br />1966, for decision only. <br />Chairman Antonini opened the public hearing on the application of Juanita Ahuero, <br />4441 Railroad Avenue, for a Conditional Use Permit under Section 16.200 (2), <br />Ordinance No. 309, in order to construct a carport in connection with an existing <br />dwelling at the above address, in a C-C District. Mr. Campbell presented the <br />staff report which recommended approval with the condition that curb, gutter, side- <br />walk and driveway be installed along the property frontage according to City <br />standards. Mr. Frank Ahuero, son of Juanita Ahuero, was present in the audience <br />and stated that he would relay the recommendation to his mother if the Planning <br />Commission decided this condition should be met. Upon motion of Chairman Antonini, <br />seconded by Commissioner Plato, and carried, the public hearing was closed. After <br />further discussion, upon motion of Commissioner Plato, seconded by Commissioner <br />Arnold, the following resolution was adopted by unanimous vote. <br />RESOLUTION N0. 632 <br />WHEREAS, the application of Juanita Ahuero, 4441 Railroad <br />Avenue, for a Conditional Use Permit under Section <br />16.200 (2), Ordinance No. 309, in order to construct <br />a carport in connection with an existing dwelling at <br />the above address, in a C-C District, has come before <br />this Commission: <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT <br />RESOLVED: that the above named application be approved minus <br />the condition ae stated in the staff report. <br />
