NOW, THEREFORE, BB IT <br />RESOLVED: that the above named application be approved. <br />Sd. 2-67-1. J. Antoalni. <br />The next item to be considered was the application of J. Antonia!, 374 Ray Street, <br />for a Zoning Permit in order to install an advertizing sign in connection with an <br />existing office use at the above address, in a C-C District. Mr. Spink presented <br />the staff report which recommended approval. Upon motion of Commissioner Arnold, <br />seconded by Commissioner Carrigan, and carried, it was determined that the Zoning <br />Permit for J. Antonini be approved. <br />Sc. 2-66-47. C. W. Blackburn. <br />The next item to be considered was the application of C. W. Blackburn, 34 Castle- <br />down Road, Castlewood Country Club, for a Zoning Permit with Site Plan, Landscape <br />and Architectural Approval in order to construct a four-plea at 821 Palomino Drive, <br />in an RG-25 District. Mr. Spink presented the staff report which asked for a <br />continuance due to the fact that drawings had not been received and staff would <br />appreciate adequate time to assimilate information pertaining to this item. Upon <br />motion of Commissioner Carrigan, aecoaded by Commissioner Johnston, and carried, <br />it was determined, with the consent of the applicant, to continue this matter in- <br />definitely to allow the staff adequate time to evaluate the matter. <br />7. Cos®unicationa. <br />The item discussed was a letter from Pleasanton Gardena, Inc., regarding a pro- <br />posed development on Rottinger Avenue. Mr. Spink read the letter which re- <br />quested a discussion on [hie matter. Mr. Bill Chriatner and Dr. Howard Long were <br />present in the audience and stated that there would be approximately 40 unite on <br />two scree of land for retired or low income persona. Dr. Long introduced several <br />persons who were present in the audience and had an interest in the proposal under <br />discussion. There was discussion as to how rezoning could be accomplished, by <br />rezoning, planned unit development or amendment to the General Plaa. After this <br />discussion, it was determined that the group should submit data relative to their <br />proposal to Mr. Spink, who would review the information and prepare a report for <br />the Planning Commission. <br />There were no Referrals from Alameda County. <br />10 a. Referrals from Citv Council. <br />Proposed Land Use Re: Two parcels of property owned by W. T. Marsh and proposed <br />for annexation to City. Mr. Lee Amaral was present in the audience and asked for <br />a continuance on this matter to allow Mr. Spink ample time to become acquainted <br />with our area. Upon motion of Chairman Antonini, aecoaded by Co~isaioner <br />Johnston, and carried, it was determined to continue this matter to the meeting of <br />March 8, 1967, with the consent of the applicant. <br />lla. Referrals from the Recreation and Park Co~iasion. <br />This referral was to consider recommended criteria for a nature park to be <br />developed at an existing park site at Valley Avenue and Northway Road. Mr. Spink <br />presented the staff report which recov®eaded endorsement of the criteria for a <br />nature park. Mr. Spink also read a letter from the Pleasanton Joint School <br />District pertaining to this matter. Mr. Gary Patton, Director of Recreation, was <br />present in the audience and spoke briefly relative to nature parka. Upon motion <br />of Commissioner Johnston, seconded by Chairman Antonini, and carried, it was <br />determined to recommend to the City Council that the criteria for nature parka be <br />adopted, as submitted. <br />At this point, Commissioner Johnston asked Mr. George Oakes whether or not <br />developers might entertain the idea of setting aside areas in their developments <br />for the elderly and low income persona. Mr. Oakes replied that he felt integration <br />would be possible. <br />There being no further business to come before the Co®isaion, upon motion of <br />Commissioner Arnold, seconded by Commissioner Johnston, and carried, the meeting <br />was ad'ourned at L0:55 P,M. to meet again on Wednesday, February 8, 1967, at <br />8:00 F.M. <br />Secretary <br />
