5d. 2-67-4. American Neon.Dlaplava, Inc. <br />The next item to be discussed was the application of American Neon Displays, <br />Inc., 810 - 23rd Avenue, ~kland, for 2onittg Permit in order to install an <br />advertizing sign in connection with an existing service station at 707 Main <br />Street, in a C-C District. After further discussion, UPON MOTION OlP COMMISSIONER <br />GARRIGAN, SECONDED BY CHAIRMAN ANTONINI, AND CARRIBD, IT WAS DETBRMINED THAT <br />THE ZONING PERMIT APPLICATION HE APPROVED SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS: <br />(1) Subject to the conditions established for V-67-7 approval. <br />(2) The precise deiagn of the planter area including size, location, <br />and plant material subject to the approval of the Planning Director <br />prior to issuance of a Building Permit. <br />There were no Communicatiotts. <br />8a. D and V Builders, Tract 2904. Tentative Subdivision Maps. <br />Mr. Spink presented the staff report and stated that the applicant had indi- <br />cated willingness to continue this matter to a later date. After further <br />discussion, UPON MOTION CP COMMISSIONER PLATO, SECONDBD BY COMMISSIONER GARRI- <br />GAN, AND CARRIED, IT WAS DETERMINBD TO CIXVTINUE THIS MATTER TO THE MEETING OF <br />MARCH 22, 1967, WITH THS CONSENT OF THE APPLICANT. <br />9a. Referrals from Alameda County 760th Unit - Motel Interstate Svatems, Inc <br />Mr. Spink presented a staff report which recommended that the City Planning <br />Commission recommended to the County Planning Commission that the County <br />General Plan be followed in this matter. UP~1 MOTION OP COMMISSIONER GARRIGAN, <br />SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER ARNOLD, AND CARRIED, IT WAS DETERMINED TO FOLLOW THE <br />STAFF RECOMMENDATIONS AS FOLLOWS: <br />That Planning Commission recommend to the County Planning Commission <br />that ate. action on either this rezoning or a Use Permit be acted upon <br />based on conformance with the adopted County General Ylan; and that <br />the County Planning Commission be advised that this proposal is within the <br />"Dublin Annexation Area". <br />9b. jLeferrals from Alameda County 761st Unit - Motel Interstate Svatems. Int. <br />Mr. Spink presented the staff report which recommended that the County General <br />Plan be followed in this matter. UPON MOTION ~ COMMISSIONER GARRIGAN, SECONDED <br />BY COMIIISSIONER ARNOLD, AND CARRIBD, IT WAS DBTERMINED TO FOLLOW THE STAFF <br />REC~NDATIONS AS FOLLOWS: <br />That the Planning Commission recommend to the County Planning Commission <br />that action on this rezoning be based on a determination that it is in <br />conformance with the adopted County General Plan. And that the County <br />Planning Commission be advised that this proposal is within the "Dublin <br />Annexation Area". <br />Under Matters Initiated by Commission Members, Commissioner Carrigan questioned <br />whether or not the flags, etc., being used for the grand opening, at the new <br />shopping center on Santa Rita Road and Valley Avenue, would come down in the <br />very near future. There was discussion oa this matter. Commissioner Carrigan <br />stated his concern regarding smog and air pollution in this area and asked <br />if there were plans for possible future planning on this matter. Mir. Spink <br />indicated to the Commission that he would forward copies of the recent report <br />from the Air Pollution Control Board to the City of Livermore with the next <br />Agenda report. <br />There being no further business to come before the Commission, upon motion of <br />Chairman Antonini, seconded by Commissioner Carrigan, and carried, the meeting <br />was adjourned at 9;26 P.M. to meet again on Wednesday, March 8, 1967, at 8:00 P.M. <br />.~ <br />Se~ <br />
