M I N U T E S <br />of <br />THE PLANNING COMMISSION <br />Pleasanton, California <br />May 10, 1967 <br />8:00 P.M. <br />The regularly scheduled meeting of the Planning Commission was called~to order <br />at 8:05 P.M., on Wednesday, May 10, 1967, by Chairman Antonini. <br />ROLL CALL showed the following: <br />Present: Commissioner Arnold <br />Garrigan <br />Johnston <br />Plato <br />Chairman Antonini <br />Secretary Spink <br />Upon motion of Commissioner Garrigan, seconded by Chairman Antonini, and carried, <br />the minutes of April 26, 1967, were approved as presented by unanimous vote. <br />4b. V-67-16. J. R. Jones. <br />Chairman Antonini opened the public hearing on the application of J. R. Jones, <br />4729 Black Avenue for a Variance from Sections 18.101 and 18.603.1 to allow a <br />six foot fence to be located within the aide street side yard of a corner lot <br />at the above address in an R-1 District. Mr. Spink presented the staff report <br />cahich recommended approval. Upon motion of Chairman Antonini, seconded by <br />Commissioner Johnston, and carried, the public hearing was closed. After fur- <br />ther discussion, upon motion of Commissioner Garrigan, seconded by Chairman <br />Antonini, the following resolution was adopted by unanimous vote. <br />RESOLUTION N0. 671 <br />WHEREAS, the application of J. R. Jones, 4729 Black Avenue for a <br />Variance from Sections 18.101 and 18.603.1 to allow a <br />six foot fence to be located within the side street aide <br />yard of a corner lot at the above address in an R-1 <br />District, has come before this Commission: <br />NOF1, THEREFORE, BE IT <br />RESOLVED, that the above-named application be approved as shown on <br />Exhibit "A". <br />,a. Z-65-3. A. Hazarabedian. <br />:he pert item to be considered was A. Hazarabedian's request for modification <br />of Condition 5 of Zoning Permit Z-65-3 prohibiting overnight boarding of ani- <br />mals at Veterinary Clinic located at 273 Spring Street, in a C-C District. <br />Mr. Spink presented the staff report which stated conditions if the Planning <br />Commission should determine that approval would be appropriate. After dis- <br />cussion, upon motion of Commissioner Plato, seconded by Commissioner Garrigan, <br />but not carried, it was suggested that the request be denied and original <br />conditions remain. Roll Call Vote: AYES: Commissioners Plato and Garrigan. <br />NOES: Commissioners Arnold and Johnston. ABSTAINED: Chairman Antonini. After <br />further discussion, UPON MOTION OF COMMISSIONER ARNOLD, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER <br />JOHIdSTON, AND CARRIED, IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THIS REQUEST BE APPROVED SUBJECT <br />TO THE FOLLOWING CONDITION: <br />(S1 This will be primarily an out-patient clinic; overnight keeping of <br />sick animals is allowed under the following provisions: <br />(a) Number of sick animals to be limited to 10. <br />(b) The right to keep sick animals overnight shall be granted <br />for six months (to November 10, 1967) subject to extension <br />upon request. <br />(c) The right to keep sick animals overnight is revocable for <br />cause. Noise emission resulting in bona fide complaints <br />shall be basis for finding cause. <br />Poll Call Dote: AYES: Commissioners Arnold, Garrigan, and Johnston. NOES: <br />Commissioner Plato.
