The approval does not extend to the use of the second floor for residential <br />purposes until such time as all building renovations required have been <br />completed. <br />8. Approval is subject to approval of other governmental agencies, County <br />Health Department, Alcoholic Beverage Commission. <br />7a. Communications. <br />Mr. Spink presented a letter from Brady Construction requesting consideration <br />of a mobile home park at the northwesterly corner of Oakland Avenue and the <br />Southern Pacific Railroad track. The staff report indicated that action should <br />be deferred until the outcome of the annexation election is known. After fur- <br />ther discussion, the Commission did not feel they should offer any positive <br />encouragement toward a mobile home park at this location and further determined <br />to wait until the results of the annexation election are known. <br />8a. Tracts 2904 and 2860. <br />The next item on the agenda was the request of D & V Builders for amendments to <br />street pattern and lot layout for portions of Tracts 2904 and 2860. Mr. Spink <br />presented the staff report which recommended approval with stated conditions. <br />Mr. Dudley Frost was present in the audience and concurred with the staff report. <br />After further discussion, UPON MOTION OF CHAIRMAN ANTONINI, SECONDED BY <br />COMMISSIONER PLATO, AND CARRIED, IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE ABOVE NAMED REQUEST <br />BE APPROVED SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING ADDITIONAL CONDITIONS: <br />1. Submission of revised sepias for both maps. <br />2. Revision of Condition 1 of Tract 2860 to read as follows: <br />"1. Reserve for potential street stub: Lot No. as indicated on the <br />revised msp until the development plans for the adjacent properties <br />are known and approved." <br />3. Revision to add Condition 16 to approval of Tract 2904 as follows: <br />"16. A stub street from "A" Street southerly to the boundary of the tract <br />shall be reserved with an alternate lotting pattern provided should <br />this stub not be required. This reserve shall be required until such <br />time as the development plans for the adjacent property are known <br />and approved. <br />8b. Tract 2573. <br />The next item on the agenda was the request from Mission Park, Unit 5, for a <br />time extension. Mr. Spink presented the staff report which recommended that the <br />Commission recommend to the City Council that a one-year time extension be <br />granted. After further discussion, UPON MOTION OF COMMISSIONER PLATO, SECONDED <br />BY COMMISSIONER GARRIGAN, AND CARRIED, IT WAS DETERMINED TO RECOMMEND TO THE CITY <br />COUNCIL THAT A ONE-YEAR TIME EXTENSION TO MAY 25, 1968, FOR TENTATIVE MAP, <br />TRACT 2573, BE GRANTED, SUBJECT TO THE NINE PREVIOUS CONDITIONS OF APPROVAL AS <br />SET FORTH IN THE CITY ENGINEER'S REPORT TO THE PLANNING COMMISSION DATED MAY 25, <br />1967. <br />9. Referrals from Alameda County. <br />The next item on the agenda was for an adjustment to allow the keeping of bees <br />and the extraction of honey in an R-1-B-2 area on Linden Way. The applicant <br />is Mr. Lionel Kett. Staff recommendation was to recommend to the Alameda County <br />Planning Department that this adjustment be denied. The Commission indicated <br />that they wished the County Planning Department to be advised that no action was <br />taken on this matter. <br />10a. Referrals from the City Council. <br />The next item on the agenda was a referral from the City Council requesting <br />review and report on a Parlc Planning Guide as approved by the Recreation and <br />Park Commission and referred to the City Council for adoption. This item was <br />continued to the meeting of June 14, 1967. <br />11. Referrals from the Recreation and Park Commission. <br />Mr. Spink presented a report from the Recreation and Park Commission relative to <br />the establishment of a Uniform Sign Policy. After dissuasion on the matter, it <br />was determined that the Commission would endorse the style but that there should <br />be variety in the supporting elements. UPON MOTION OF COMMISSIONER PLATO, <br />SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER GARRIGAN, AND CARRIED, IT WAS DETERMINED TNAT THE <br />RECREATION DIRECTOR SHOULD APPEAR BEFORE THE COMMISSION TO EXPLAIN THE IDEAS <br />OF THE RECREATION DEPARTMENT RELATIVE TO SIGNS. <br />5-24-67 <br />
