M I N U T E S <br />of <br />THE PLANNING COMMISSION <br />Pleasanton, California <br />May 24, 1967 <br />The regularly scheduled meeting of the Planning Commission was called to order <br />at 8:04 P.M, on Wednesday, May 24, 1967, by Chairman Antonini. <br />ROLL CALL showed the following: <br />Present: Com<issioner Arnold <br /> Garrigan <br /> Plato <br />Chairman Antonini <br />Secretary Spink <br />Absent: Commissioner Johnston <br />Upon motion of Commissioner Garrigan, seconded by Commissioner Plato, and carried, <br />the minutes of May 17, 1967, were approved as presented by unanimous vote. <br />4a. RZ-67-3. John A. Comer. <br />Chairman Antonini opened the public hearing on the application of John A. Comer, <br />1949 fAest Winton Avenue, Hayward, for an amendment to Ordinance No. 309 amending <br />the district boundaries of the zoning map by redesignating property located at <br />4160 Stanley Boulevard from the R-1 District to the RG-15 District. Mr. Spink <br />presented the staff report which recommended that this item be continued for <br />ninety days and to initiate public hearings for Precise Plan Linea for Del Valle <br />Parkway from Hopyard Road to Pico Avenue. Mr. Comer was present in the audience <br />and was represented by Mr. Corley and Chris Beratlis. Mr. Corley indicated that <br />Mr. Comer was ready to build and would prefer not to wait for ninety days. <br />Upon motion of Commissioner Plato, seconded by Commissioner Garrigan, and carried, <br />the public hearing was closed. After further discussion, UPON MOT10N OF C~`R4ISS- <br />IONER GARRIGAN, AND CARRIED, IT WAS DETERMINED TO RE-OPEN THE PUBLIC HEARING ON <br />THIS MATTER. After further discussion, and with the consent of the applicant, <br />UPON MOTION OF CHAIRMAN ANTONINI, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER PLATO, AND CARRIED, <br />IT WAS DETERMINED TO CONTINUE THE PUBLIC HEARING TO JUNE 14, 1967, AND TO INITIATE <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS FOR JUNE 14, 1967, REGARDING PRECISE PLAN LINES FOR DEL VALLE <br />PARKWAY. <br />4b. V-67-22. H. E. Morf~an. <br />Chairman Antonini opened the public hearing on the application of H. E. Morgan, <br />4020 Moselle Court, for a Variance from Section 6.500 to allow a patio deck to <br />encroach into the required rear and aide yards at the above address in an R-1 <br />District. Mr. Spink presented the staff report which recommended approval for an <br />uncovered wood deck. Upon motion of Commissioner Arnold, seconded by Commissioner <br />Garrigan, and carried, the public hearing was closed. Upon motion of Commissioner <br />Arnold, seconded by Chairman Antonini, the following resolution was adopted by <br />unanimous vote. <br />RESOLUTION N0. 679 <br />WHEREAS, the application of H. E. Morgan, 4020 Moselle Court, for a <br />Variance from Section 6.500 to allow an uncovered patio <br />deck to encroach into the required rear and side yards at <br />the above address in an R-1 District, has come before this <br />Commission: <br />NO[d, THEREFORE, BE IT <br />RESOLVED: that the above named application be approved. <br />Sa. Z-67-21. M & J Dunham. <br />The next item on the agenda was the application of M 6 J Dunham, 122 W. Neal <br />Street for a Zoning Permit with site plan, landscape, and architectural approval <br />for the construction of a banquet and convention room addition to an existing <br />restaurant located at the above address in a C-C District. Mr. Spink presented <br />the staff report which recommended approval with stated conditions. Mr. Dick <br />Braden, representing Mr. Dunham, was present in the audience. After further <br />discussion, UPON MOTION OF COMMISSIONER GARRIGAN, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER PLATO, <br />AT?D CARRIED, IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE ABOVE NAMED APPLICATION BE APPROVED <br />t•I1TH THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS: <br />5-24-67 <br />
