Combination of parcels 2 and 3 of block 3475 Assessor's Book 946 into a single parcel. 2. Dedication and improvements of Roae Lane across the frontage of parcels 2 and 3 to the greatest extent legally possible in order to eventually convert Rose Lane into a public street. 9b. Ouarrv Pit Permit - Kaiser. Mr. Spink informed the Commission of a communication received from Alameda County stating that a six month extension had been granted for completion of the plan to reclaim the gravel pit. 10. Referrals from the City Council. The next item on the agenda was pertaining to a request from Mrs. Wicksteed to consider using the name "Peters Avenue" as the name for the new proposed street parallel to Main Street. UPON MOTION OF CNAIRMAN ANTONINI, SECONDED BY COi~S~IISSIONBR PLATO, AND CARRIED, IT WAS DETERMINED TO RECOMMEND TO THE CITY COUNCIL THAT "PETERS AVENUE" BE CONSIDERED AS A POSSIBLE NAME FOR THE PROPOSED NEW STREET. 4c. 1i,7-67-5. City Council. Chairman Antonini opened the public hearing on the application of the City Council for an amendment to Ordinance No. 309, establishing Article 6A, RX Single Family Residence District. Mr. Spink presented the staff report which suggested possible language for a recommendation to the City Council. The proposal would substitute a Residential Overlay District (ROD) for the previous title RX Single Family Residence District. Mr. Spink noted that the Section heading and explana- tory language from Sec. 6A-103 had been inadvertently left out of the draft. The proposed language was read. There was considerable discussion on this item by Councilmen Gerton and Rega, Ted Fairfield, Dudley Frost, and Richard Karn. Upon motion of Chairman Antonini, seconded by Commissioner Carrigan, and carried, the public hearing was closed. The commission concluded that Sec. 6A-104 should be modified to provide for a discretionary deletion of the high density clusters under appropriate circumstances and that the staff and the City Attorney should prepare the necessary additional language. After further discuosion, upon motion of Commissioner Carrigan, seconded by Chairmen Antonini, the follow- ing resolution was adopted with the following vote. AYES: Commissioner Carrigan aad Chairman Antonini. NOES: Commissioner Plato. ABSTAINED: None. ABSENT: Commissioner Arnold and Commissioner Johnston. RESOLUTION NO, b88 WHEREAS, the application of the City Council for an amendment to Ordinance No. 309, establishing Article 6A, RX Single Family Residence District, has come before this Comimission: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: that the Planning Commission recommend to the City Council an amendment to Ordinance No. 309 to add Article 6A, Residential Overlay District (ROD), the language to be per Exhibit "A", as modified by the City Attorney to provide proper form particularly for Sec. 6A-104. At this point, the Commission discussed setting a public hearing for the amend- ment of Ordinance No. 309, Zoning Map. UPON MOTION OF CHAIRMAN ANTONINI, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER GARRIGAN, AND CARRIED, IT WAS DETERMINED TO SETA PUBLIC HBARING POR THE MEETING OF JULY 26, 1967, TO AMEND ORDINANCE N0, 309, ZONING MAP TO PLACE THE RESIDENTIAL OVERLAY DISTRICT OVER THE ENTIRE CITY LIMITS.
