2. The overall dimensions of the sign are approved. The structural details <br />are to be modified to repeat the architectural elements of the existing <br />architectural screen. <br />3. An informational sign not exceeding four square feet with the text "customer <br />parking only" and not exceeding 30 inches in height, may be located in the <br />planter immediately adjacent to the sidewalk and entrance driveway. <br />7. COMMUNICATIONS. <br />The next item on the agenda was the application of Jack Bras for Milt Dunham, <br />122 West Neal, for a Zoning Permit with Site Plan and Architectural Approval <br />for a proposed kitchen addition and exterior remodeling of the street frontage <br />at the above address in a C-C District. Mr. Spink presented the staff report <br />which stated that the applicant desired a partial approval covering the kitchen <br />addition only. After further discussion, UPON MOTION OF COMMISSIONER GARRIGAN, <br />SECONDED BY CHAIRMAN ANTONINI, AND CARRIED, IT WAS DETERMINED THAT Z-67-46 <br />BE APPROVED FOR RITCHEN ADDITION ONLY. Balance of approval to be discussed <br />at the meeting of August 23, 1967. <br />8a. Tentative Subdivision Maps - Tract 2855. <br />The next item on the agenda was the Costanzo Wilson Development Company request <br />for Tentative Map approval, Tract 2855, for an area of approximately 41 acres <br />adjacent to and westerly of Santa Rita Road and westerly of Valley Avenue. Mr. <br />Spink requested a continuance of this item to allow time fora referral to <br />the Recreation and Park Commission. UPON MOTION OF CHAIRMAN ANTONINI, SECONDED <br />BY COMMISSIONER ARNOLD, AND CARRIED, IT WAS DETERMINED TO CONTINUE THIS MATTER <br />TO THE MEETING OF AUGUST 23, 1967. This item was conticnaed with the consent <br />of the applicant. <br />10a. City Council Referral. <br />The next item on the agenda was a City Council referral of the proposed Park <br />Planning Guide. After a brief discussion, the Commission determined to continue <br />this matter to the meeting of August 23, 1967, to allow adequate time for <br />further review. <br />12a. Matters for the Information of the Commission. <br />Mr. Spink presented the staff report on Willow West Properties, discussion of <br />land use proposals for areas requesting annexation to the City of Pleasanton. <br />The staff report Indicated the advisable procedure to be followed by the <br />applicant. Mr. Dan Coleman, representing Willow West Properties, was present <br />in the audience and made a presentation to the Com<aiasion pertaining to this <br />development. The items discussed were the number of units; acreage for the <br />various types of uses; the uses, such as industrial R-1, a lake and golf course, <br />hotel and offices. Mr. Coleman was primarily interested in whether or not the <br />Commsission felt the mentioned uses belonged in the City and would a form of the <br />plan submitted be acceptable. After further discussion by the Commission, UPON <br />MOTION OF CHAIRMAN ANTONINI, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER GARRIGAN, AND CARRIED, IT <br />WAS DETERMINED TO REFER THIS MATTER TO THE CITY COUNCIL ASKING THEM FOR SPECIFIC <br />GUIDELINES TO BE FOLLOWED ~I THIS MATTER. The suggestion was made to take a <br />field trip to study the site proposed on the DiSalvo property. <br />14. Matters Initiated by Commission Members. <br />The Commission entered a discussion relative to signs and the suggestion was <br />made that possibly the Chamber of Commerce could use this as a priority item <br />to reach a suitable solution with respect to tract signs using the cluster or <br />grouping theme. <br />There being no further business to come before the Commission, upon motion of <br />Chairman Antonini, seconded by Commissioner Carrigan, and carried, the meeting <br />was adjourned at 11:08 P.M., to meet again on August 23, 1967, at 8:00 P.M. <br />ecretary <br />8/9/67 <br />
