M I N U T E S <br />OF <br />THE PLANNING COIrA3ISSI0N <br />Pleasanton, California <br />August 9, 1967 <br />The regularly scheduled meeting of the Planning Commission was called to order <br />at 8:00 P.M., on F7edneaday, August 9, 1967, by Chairman Antonini. <br />ROLL GALL showed the following: <br />Present: Commissioner Arnold <br />Garrigan <br />Gibbs <br />Chairman Antonini <br />Secretary Spink <br />Absent: Commissioner Plato <br />Upon motion of Commissioner Arnold, seconded by Chairman Antonini, and carried, <br />the minutes of July 26, 1967, were approved ae presented by unanimous vote. <br />4a. UP-67-12. Pacific Telephone and Telegraph Company. <br />chairman Antonini opened the public hearing on the application of Pacific Tele- <br />phone and Telegraph Company, 111 North Market Street, San Joae, for a Use Permit <br />under Section 11.301, Ordinance No. 309, in order to construct a communications <br />equipment building at 120 Ray Street in a C-C District. Mr. Spink presented <br />the staff report which recommended approval with stated conditions. Mr. John <br />Darrow, representing Pacific Telephone and Telegraph Company, was present in <br />the audience and concurred with the staff report. Upon motion of Commissioner <br />Garrigan, seconded by Commissioner Arnold, and carried, the public hearing <br />was closed. After further discussion, upon motion of Commissioner Garrigan, <br />seconded by Chairman Antonini, the following resolution was adopted by unanimous <br />vote. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 703 <br />TdHEREAS, the application of Pacific Telephone and Telegraph Com- <br />pany, 111 North Market Street, San Jose, for a Use Permit <br />under Section 11.301, Ordinance No. 309, in order to con- <br />struct a communications equipment building at 120 Ray <br />Street in a C-C District, has come before this Commission: <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT <br />RESOLVED: that the above named application be approved subject to <br />the following conditions: <br />1. Subject to conditions of approval for Zoning Permit <br />Z-67-3 and Z-67-10. <br />2. Condition No. 6 of Z-67-3 to be modified to read <br />as follows: "Widening of Spring Street right-of- <br />way to 25 feet from the existing centerline with 20 <br />feet of paving; 5 feet for curb, gutter and sidewalk; <br />and a five foot building setback line with a PSE <br />(Public Service Easement to be Riven, shall be re- <br />quired. Precise design subject to staff approval <br />at time of building permit approval". <br />NOTE: Added language has been underlined. <br />4b. RZ-67-8. Citv Council. <br />Chairman Antonini opened the public hearing on the application of the City Council <br />for an amendment to Ordinance No. 309, amending the Zoning Map to rezone and <br />prezone the incorporated area of the City of Pleasanton and the area of the <br />Pleasanton General Plan as adopted to apply the Residential Overlay District <br />(ROD) to the entire area generally bounded by Route 50 and Route 84 Freeway <br />and the Pleasanton, Main andSunol Ridges. Mr. Spink presented the staff report <br />which recommended approval of this matter. The Ordinance as introduced remained <br />as recommended by the Planning Commission except the word "shall" was changed to <br />"may" in Section 6A-104 which dealt with average density and the creation of <br />multiple zoning clusters. Upon motion of Chairman Antonini, seconded by <br />Commissioner Garrigan, and carried, the public hearing was closed. After <br />further discussion, upon motion of Commissioner Arnold, seconded by Commissioner <br />Garrigan, the following resolution was adopted by unanimous vote: <br />8/9/67 <br />
