<br />The regularly scheduled meeting of the Planning Commission was called to order at
<br />E:09 P.M., on Wednesday, August 23, 1967, by Chairman Antonini.
<br />Present: Commissioner Garrigan
<br />Gibbs
<br />Chairman Antonini
<br />Absent: Commissioner Arnold
<br />Secretary Spink
<br />Mr. William Edgar, Director of Finance, served as Secretary Pro Tem
<br />for this meeting.
<br />Upon motion of Commissioner Garrigan, seconded by Commissioner Gibbs, and
<br />carried, the minutes of August 9, 1967, were approved as presented.
<br />3a. Meeting Open for anv Member of the Audience to Address the_PlanninE Commission
<br />Mr. George S. Kieffer, 550 Park Street, Alameda, California, who is the developer
<br />of the service station located at Hopyard Road and Interstate 580, advised the
<br />Commission that the Alameda County Planning Commission had approved their request
<br />for subject station. Mr. Kieffer further stated that this would be a Shell Oil
<br />Company station. After further discussion, it was determined to place this item
<br />on the agenda for the next regular meeting to allow Mr. Kieffer to present plans
<br />relative to architecture, landscaping, etc., for the information of the Commission.
<br />4a. RZ-67-10, Schulte Blackwell.
<br />C}tai3olan-Antonini .opened tfi€ public hearing on Che• application of Schulte-3lackwell
<br />P.. O.: Eox 817, Cecspbell, for an.nmendment to Ordinance No. 309 amending the
<br />Zoning Map to rezone approximately 27 acres from the A District to the R-1 District,
<br />Tract 2963. Mr. Edgar submitted the staff report. He pointed out that the
<br />Commission should take action on RZ-67-10, and then take action on Item Sc, Tenta-
<br />tive Tract Map 2963. Mx. Don Booby presented a staff report on the tentative
<br />map. Upon motion of Chairman Antonini, seconded by Commissioner Gibbs, and
<br />carried, the public hearing was closed.
<br />Commissioner Plato joined the Commission at this time.
<br />Upon motion of Commissioner Garrigan, seconded by Chairman Antonini, the follow-
<br />ing resolution was adopted by unanimous vote:

<br />WHEREAS, the application of Schulte-Blackwell Development Co.,
<br />P. O. Box 817, Campbell, for an amendment to Ordinance
<br />No. 3O9 amending the Zoning Map to rezone approximately 27
<br />acres fry the "A" District to the R-1, Tract 2963, has
<br />come before this Commission,
<br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
<br />RESOLVED: that the above named application be approved.
<br />Chairman Antonini then introduced item 8c, Tentative Map Tract 2963. Mr. Bostedt
<br />spoke relative to problems involved in street widening on Foothill Road. After
<br />further discussion, UPON MOTION OF COMMISSIONER GARRIGAN, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER
<br />PLATO, AND CARRIED, IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE ABOVE NAMED APPLICATION BE ApPRUVED~'•`
<br />AL'?lOTATED ~ EXHIBIT "A" AND SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS:
<br />1. That all in-tract easements be granted as public service easements with no
<br />reference to specific use.
<br />2. That the number, size and location of fire hydrants remain subject to change
<br />pending completion of a study of this matter by the Fire Chief.
<br />3. That the developer provide all the street lighting facilities necessary to
<br />adequately light the streets within and adjacent to this tract at the lowest
<br />possible cost to the City and in accordance with the method, City owned or
<br />P.G.6E. owned, that is commonly in use by the City of Pleasanton at the time
<br />of approval of the Final Map. 5-23-67
