M I N U T E S <br />o£ <br />Planning Commission <br />Pleasanton, California <br />November 21, 1967 <br />The regularly scheduled meeting of the Planning Commission was called to order at <br />8: J') P. M., Tuesday, November 21, 1967, by Chairman Antonini. <br />ROLL CALL showed the following: <br />Present: Coa®issioner Arnold <br /> Plato <br /> Gibbs <br />Chairman Antonini <br />Secretary Castro <br />Absent Commissioner Carrigan <br />upon motion of Commissioner Gibbs, .seconded by Chairman Antonini, and carried, <br />the minutes were approved as presented. <br />5, V-67-45: and ba. 6b. be - <br />Chairman Antonini opened the public hearing on the application of Costanzo <br />1lilson Development Co., 2470 Almaden Blvd., Union City, for a Variance to <br />Sec~ion 17.7:)5 to permit the construction of three tract signs to exceed the <br />allowed sign area in the following manner: (1) Santa Rita Road location - <br />2J square feet. (2) Main Street location - 2 sq. ft.; (3) Sunol Road Loca- <br />tion - 7J sq. ft.. The Commission also considered the applications for <br />Zoning Permits 2-67-71, -72, -73, for tract signs to be located as follows, <br />respectively the southeast corner of Sunol Road and Mission Drive in a C-T <br />nistrict; sign to be located on property presently bound by First Street <br />a;~d Main Street in a C-0 District; and a tract sign to be located on the west <br />tide of Santa Rita Road approximately 2JJ~ feet north of Valley Avenue. Mr. <br />;ienry Devano, representing Costanzo k!ilson Development Co., concurred with <br />the staff report. Upon motion of Commissioner Arnold, seconded by Chairman <br />Antonini, and carried, the public hearing Baas closed. Upon motion of Com- <br />missioner Arnold, seconded by Chairman Antonini, the following resolution <br />LW83 adopted by unanimous vote: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 72S <br />41HEREAS, the application of Costanzo Sdilson Development Co., <br />2400 Almaden Blvd., Union City, for a Variance <br />V-67-49, to Section 17.7)5 to permit the construc- <br />tion of three tract signs to exceed the allowed sign <br />area in the following manner: <br />1. Santa Rita Road location - 20 sq. ft. <br />2. Main Street location - 2 sq. ft. <br />3. Sunol Road location - 7) sq. ft. <br />has come before this Commission, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT <br />RESOLVED: that the above application be approved. <br />rPON Mu'r1:na OF COMMISSIONER ARNOLD, SECONDED BY CHAIRMAN ANTONINI, AND CARRIED, <br />TF`E ABOVE APPLi.CATIONS POR ZONING PERMITS ~-67-71, Z-67-72, Z-67-73 BE APPROV°D <br />SUBJECT TO THE FOLLO{ai11VG CONDITIONS: <br />1. That the placement of said signs shall comply with the street setbacks <br />as shown on the plot plan submitted. <br />2. That all signs shall not exceed 17 feet in height. <br />3. That the total square footage shall be as follows: <br />a. Santa Rita Road location - SJ square feet. <br />b. Main Street location - 32 square feet. <br />c. Sunol Road location - 1:10 square feet. <br />4. That the Zoning Permits shall be granted for a period of 18 months. <br />S.
