M I N U T E S <br />of <br />Planning Commission <br />Pleasanton, Calffomia <br />December 6, 1967 <br />The regularly scheduled meeting of the Planning Commission was called to order <br />at 8:05 P.M., Wednesdaq, December 6, 1967, by Chairman Antonini. <br />BOLL CALL showed the following: <br />Present: Commissioner Gibbs <br />Plato <br />Chairman. Antonini <br />Secretary Castro <br />Absent: Co®iseioner Carrigan <br />Arnold <br />Upon motion of Commissioner Gibbs, seconded by Commissioner Plato, and <br />carried, the minutes of November 21, 1967, were approved as presented. <br />Sa. V-67-51. Edward Mar_ti__nez. <br />Chairman Antonini opened the public hearing on the application of Edward Mar- <br />tinez, 4465 Clovewood Lane, fora Variance to Section 6.500 to persiC the <br />construction of a covered patio to encroach 10 feet into the required rear <br />yard setback, located at the above address. The applicant was present and <br />stated the patio had been built because they were unaware of the need for a <br />permit. Commissioner Gibbs suggested a pamphlet be put out by the City to <br />inform the home owaer of the City requirements regarding permits. Mr. Castro <br />stated that the Highland Oaks Association had written that in the future <br />they would inform new homeowners of the City requirements. Upon motion of <br />Chairman Antonini. seconded by Co®issioner Plato, and carried, the public <br />hearing was closed. Upon motion of Commissioner Plato, seconded by Co®issioner <br />Gibbs, the following resolution was adopted by Vnanl~as vote: <br />tj,ESOLUTION lam. 735 <br />WHEREAS. the application of Edward Martinez, 4465 Clovewood <br />Lana, for a Variance (V-67-51) to Section 6.500 to permit <br />the construction of a covered patio to encroach iJ <br />feet into the required rear yard setback, has come before <br />this Comtnisaion, <br />NOW, TNBREFORS, SB IT <br />RESOLVED: that the above application be approved subject to <br />the following condition: <br />1. That the Variance is granted for the property <br />described in the application and any attachment <br />thereto and as shown on the plot plan submitted <br />labeled Exhibit A. <br />Sb. V-67-52, Rainier Construction Comoanv <br />Chairman Antonini opened the public hearing on the application of Rainier , <br />Construction Co., 6000 Talegraph.Avenue, OAkland, fora Variance to Section <br />6.500 to allow the construction of a single family home to encroach 1 foot <br />into the required rear yard at 2388 Willet Way, Pleasanton. Mr. Dudley Frost, <br />representing the applicant, concurred with the staff report. Upon motion of <br />Chairman Anton;nt, seconded by Canniaetoner Gibbs, and carried, the public <br />hearing was closed. Upon motion of Chairman Antonini, seconded by Commissioner <br />Plato, the following resolution was adopted by unanimous vote: <br />1, 12-6-67 <br />
