M I N U T E S of Planning Commission Pleasanton, Calffomia December 6, 1967 The regularly scheduled meeting of the Planning Commission was called to order at 8:05 P.M., Wednesdaq, December 6, 1967, by Chairman Antonini. BOLL CALL showed the following: Present: Commissioner Gibbs Plato Chairman. Antonini Secretary Castro Absent: Co®iseioner Carrigan Arnold Upon motion of Commissioner Gibbs, seconded by Commissioner Plato, and carried, the minutes of November 21, 1967, were approved as presented. Sa. V-67-51. Edward Mar_ti__nez. Chairman Antonini opened the public hearing on the application of Edward Mar- tinez, 4465 Clovewood Lane, fora Variance to Section 6.500 to persiC the construction of a covered patio to encroach 10 feet into the required rear yard setback, located at the above address. The applicant was present and stated the patio had been built because they were unaware of the need for a permit. Commissioner Gibbs suggested a pamphlet be put out by the City to inform the home owaer of the City requirements regarding permits. Mr. Castro stated that the Highland Oaks Association had written that in the future they would inform new homeowners of the City requirements. Upon motion of Chairman Antonini. seconded by Co®issioner Plato, and carried, the public hearing was closed. Upon motion of Commissioner Plato, seconded by Co®issioner Gibbs, the following resolution was adopted by Vnanl~as vote: tj,ESOLUTION lam. 735 WHEREAS. the application of Edward Martinez, 4465 Clovewood Lana, for a Variance (V-67-51) to Section 6.500 to permit the construction of a covered patio to encroach iJ feet into the required rear yard setback, has come before this Comtnisaion, NOW, TNBREFORS, SB IT RESOLVED: that the above application be approved subject to the following condition: 1. That the Variance is granted for the property described in the application and any attachment thereto and as shown on the plot plan submitted labeled Exhibit A. Sb. V-67-52, Rainier Construction Comoanv Chairman Antonini opened the public hearing on the application of Rainier , Construction Co., 6000 Talegraph.Avenue, OAkland, fora Variance to Section 6.500 to allow the construction of a single family home to encroach 1 foot into the required rear yard at 2388 Willet Way, Pleasanton. Mr. Dudley Frost, representing the applicant, concurred with the staff report. Upon motion of Chairman Anton;nt, seconded by Canniaetoner Gibbs, and carried, the public hearing was closed.
