/ R <br />1dI NU TE "• <br />of <br />Planning Commission <br />Pleasanton, California <br />December 13, 1967 <br />The regularly scheduled meeting of the Planning Commission was called to <br />order at 8:00 P•M., Wednesday, December 13, 1967, by Vice-Chairman Plato. <br />ROLL CALL showed the following: <br />Present: Commissioner Carrigan <br /> Arnold <br /> Gibbs <br />Vice-Chairman Plato <br />Secretary Castro <br />Absent Chairman Antonini <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />The minutes were corrected as follocas: <br />Co®issioner Plato's objection to Ordinance No. 501, as stated in the minutes, <br />was changed to a Resolution as follaas; <br />Upon motion of Commissioner Plato, seconded by Commissioner Gibbs, the <br />following resolution was adopted by unanimous vote: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 739 <br />WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 501, providing for automatic termina- <br />tion of appointment for absence from meetings of <br />the Planning Commissioners has been considered by <br />the Planning Commission, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT <br />RESOLVED: that the Planning Commission unanimously objects <br />to the restrictions imposed by Ordinance No. 501. <br />3. MEETING OPEN TO MEMBBRS OF THE AUDIENCE <br />Mr. Vic Bailey, 4565 Black Avenue, aeKed if the Commission had taken the <br />responsibility to close the Hopyard Road crossing of Interstate 580. The <br />Commission informed Mr. Bailey that the action was taken by the State, <br />and endorsed by the City Councils of Livermore and Pleasanton. Mr. Bailey <br />expressed his disapproval of this action, stating it seemed unnecessary. <br />Sa. UP-67-20 Pleasanton Citv Council. <br />Vice-Chairman Plato opened the public hearing on the application of the <br />Pleasanton City Council for a Conditional Use Permit under Section 11.301 <br />for the installation of an interim public library facility in a portable <br />modulux building to be located at 492 St. John Street. Mr. Castro pre- <br />sented the staff report suggesting two possible locations for the library <br />on the property at 492 St. John Street. Mr. Castro stated there were no <br />substantial savings in locating the building to the front or the rear of <br />the lot. The staff recommended the location of Concept X12. After <br />further discussion, upon motion of Commissioner Carrigan, seconded by <br />Commissioner Arnold, and carried, the public hearing was closed. Upon <br />motion of Commissioner Carrigan, seconded by Commissioner Gibbs, the follow- <br />ing resolution was adopted by unanimous vote: <br />RESOLUTION N0, 74 <br />WHBREAS, the application of the Pleasanton City Council <br />for a Conditional Use Permit under Section 11.301 <br />(UP-67-20) for the installation of an interim public <br />library facility in a portable modulwc building, <br />located at 492 St. John Street, has come before <br />this Commission, <br />_1_ 12-13-67 <br />
