M I N U T E S <br />Planning Commission <br />City of Pleasanton <br />April 10, 1968 <br />The regularly scheduled meeting of the Planning Commission was called to order <br />by Chairman Antonini at 8:02 P.M., Wednesday, April 10, 1968. <br />ROLL CALL showed the following: <br />PRESENT: Commissioner Arnold <br /> Garrigan <br /> Gibbs <br />Chairman Antonini <br />Secretary Castro <br />ABSENT: Commissioner Plato <br />APPRO\1AL_OF MINUTES: <br />upon motion of Commissioner Garrigan, seconded by Chairman Antonini, and carried, <br />the minutes of March 27, 1968, were approved as presented. <br />4.) Mr. Castro noted there were three additions to the agenda, two zoning <br />permits (Z-68.21 and Z-68-22) which would be considered under Zoning Permits, <br />and a request for the Commission to review the:De Salvo Property, considered <br />under Item 12b. <br />Sa. UP-67-24_, Western Si~er~a,_Lumber_Compan~ <br />Chairman Antonini opened the public hearing on the application of Western <br />Sierra Lumber Company, P. O. Box 279, Pleasanton, for a Conditional Use Permit <br />to Section 16.400(3) to allow the operation of the existing retail and whole- <br />sale building materials yard currently located at the northwest corner of <br />Santa Rita Road and Valley Avenue. Mr. Castro explained the Conditional <br />Use Permit request had been readvertized as requested by the Planning Com- <br />mission at their meeting of Mar. 13,'68, and recommended that the use be <br />approved fot a period of time ending April 26, 1990, as permitted under Ordinn ncE. <br />No. 309. Mr. Johnson, the applicant, stated the importance of being allowed <br />the full term for the use allowed by law. Upon motion of Chairman Antonini, <br />seconded by Commissioner Garrigan, and carried, the public hearing was closed. <br />Upon motion of Commissioner Arnold, seconded by Commissioner Garrigan,.the <br />following resolution was adopted by unanimous vote: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 770 y <br />WHEREAS, the application of Western Sierra''Lumber <br />Company, P.O. Box 279, Pleasanton, for a Con- <br />ditional Use Permit (UP-67-24) to Section 16.400 <br />(3) to allow the operation of the existing retail <br />and wholesale building materials yard currently <br />located at the northwest corner of Santa Rita Road <br />and Valley Avenue has come before this Commission, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT <br />RESOLVED: that the above applicatlon be approved subject <br />to the following condition: <br />1. That approval is granted for a conditional <br />use permit to allow the operation of the existing <br />retail and wholesale building materials yard to <br />operate until April 26, 1990, on that property gen- <br />erally located at the northwest corner of Santa <br />Rita Road and Valley Avenue. <br />:b. RZ-68-2. MacKay Homes <br />Chairman Antonini opened the public hearing on the application of MacKay Homes, <br />830 Menlo Avenue, Menlo Park, for an amendment to Ordinance No. 309, to rezone <br />from Agricultural District to single family and multiple family districts <br />(RG-15) that property generally located west of Hopyard Road and north of the <br />Arroyo del Valle, containing more or less 120.214 acres.
