M I N U T E S Planning Commission City of Pleasanton April 10, 1968 The regularly scheduled meeting of the Planning Commission was called to order by Chairman Antonini at 8:02 P.M., Wednesday, April 10, 1968. ROLL CALL showed the following: PRESENT: Commissioner Arnold Garrigan Gibbs Chairman Antonini Secretary Castro ABSENT: Commissioner Plato APPRO\1AL_OF MINUTES: upon motion of Commissioner Garrigan, seconded by Chairman Antonini, and carried, the minutes of March 27, 1968, were approved as presented. 4.) Mr. Castro noted there were three additions to the agenda, two zoning permits (Z-68.21 and Z-68-22) which would be considered under Zoning Permits, and a request for the Commission to review the:De Salvo Property, considered under Item 12b. Sa. UP-67-24_, Western Si~er~a,_Lumber_Compan~ Chairman Antonini opened the public hearing on the application of Western Sierra Lumber Company, P. O. Box 279, Pleasanton, for a Conditional Use Permit to Section 16.400(3) to allow the operation of the existing retail and whole- sale building materials yard currently located at the northwest corner of Santa Rita Road and Valley Avenue. Mr. Castro explained the Conditional Use Permit request had been readvertized as requested by the Planning Com- mission at their meeting of Mar. 13,'68, and recommended that the use be approved fot a period of time ending April 26, 1990, as permitted under Ordinn ncE. No. 309. Mr. Johnson, the applicant, stated the importance of being allowed the full term for the use allowed by law. Upon motion of Chairman Antonini, seconded by Commissioner Garrigan, and carried, the public hearing was closed. Upon motion of Commissioner Arnold, seconded by Commissioner Garrigan,.the following resolution was adopted by unanimous vote: RESOLUTION N0. 770 y WHEREAS, the application of Western Sierra''Lumber Company, P.O. Box 279, Pleasanton, for a Con- ditional Use Permit (UP-67-24) to Section 16.400 (3) to allow the operation of the existing retail and wholesale building materials yard currently located at the northwest corner of Santa Rita Road and Valley Avenue has come before this Commission, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: that the above applicatlon be approved subject to the following condition: 1. That approval is granted for a conditional use permit to allow the operation of the existing retail and wholesale building materials yard to operate until April 26, 1990, on that property gen- erally located at the northwest corner of Santa Rita Road and Valley Avenue. :b. RZ-68-2. MacKay Homes Chairman Antonini opened the public hearing on the application of MacKay Homes, 830 Menlo Avenue, Menlo Park, for an amendment to Ordinance No. 309, to rezone from Agricultural District to single family and multiple family districts (RG-15) that property generally located west of Hopyard Road and north of the Arroyo del Valle, containing more or less 120.214 acres.
