11. REFERRALS FROM RECREATION AND PARK COMMISSION <br />Mr. Castro reviewed for the Commission Resolution R-68-10, adopted by the <br />Recreation and Park Commission May 2, 1968, providing a policy for various <br />municipal pools in the City. Mr. Castro also reviewed their Resolution R-68-9 <br />with respect to development of that portion of the Arroyo Del Valle channel <br />within the boundaries of Tentative Map X2905. <br />12.) MATTERS FOR THE INFORMATION OF THE COMMISSION <br />After discussion, Chairman Antonini and Commissioner Plato agreed to meet with <br />two members of the City Council and Mr. Castro to discuss home occupations <br />and to set guidelines for further consideration by the Commission. Mr. Castro <br />will arrange a date and time with the Council for the meeting. <br />13.) MATTERS INITLATID BY COMMISSION MEMBERS <br />Commissioner Plato asked that a letter be mailed to the Murray School District <br />thanking them for their cooperation on selection of the school site in Tract <br />2987. Mr. Castro stated this would be done. <br />b.) Co®iasioner Plato stated his opinion that a General Plan Amendment should <br />be initiated providing for a minimuot lot size of 1 or 1/2 acre lots fronting <br />on the East aide of Foothill Road, from Bernal to Highland Oaka development <br />to retain the character. <br />c.) Mr. Castro informed the Commission of proposed modifications on the <br />revised General Plan: <br />(1) The Willow West Development <br />(2) Extension of Foxpoint Road <br />(3) Land Use modifications on Santa Rita Road <br />(4) Zoning modification to that land fronting on the east aide of Foothill <br />Road between Foothill Farina and the intersection of Castlewood Road <br />and Foothill Road. <br />(5) The industrial area and commercial zoning in Mission Park Development. <br />Public hearings on the General Plan amendment proposals approved by the Planntr+g <br />Commission and Council will be scheduled possibly for next month. UPON MOTION <br />OF COMMISSIONER PLATO, SECONDED BY CHAIRMAN ANTONINI, AND CARRIED, IT WAS <br />DETERMINED TO HOLD PUBLIC HEARINGS ON GENERAL PLAN REVI33IONS NEXT MONTH, <br />DATES TO BE SET BY THE PLANNING DIRECTOR; <br />(d) Mr. Castro informed the Commission the new Zoning Ordinances will be <br />delivered next week. <br />(e) Mr. Castro presented drawings to offer ideas on the renovation of the <br />downtown district. Mr. Castro further explained the drawings were merely <br />to show character studies for the downtown area. <br />There being no further business to come before the Coa¢aission, <br />Chairman Antonini, seconded by Commissioner Plato, and carried, <br />was adjourned at 11:00 P.
