NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Planning Commission of
the City of Pleasanton hereby recommends
to the City Council the adoption of an
ordinance reclassifying and rezoning
said property as petitioned by amending
Zoning Ordinance No. 520.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE Planning Commission of the City of Pleasanton
on the 9th day of October, 1968, by the
following vote:
Ayes: Commissioner Arnold
Commissioner Plato
Chairman Antonini
Noes:
Absent: Commissioner Carrigan
Commissioner Gibbs
Attest: Secretary Castro
8. COMMUNICATIONS
a. Planning Director Castro informed the Commission members that the Joint Study
Session of the Planning Commission and the City Council was scheduled for
8:00 PM, October 10, 1968, at Valley View School, 480 Adams Court, Pleasanton.
b. There were two letters from Mr. Ted C. Fairfield of MacKay ~ Somps, requesting
a name change of the street on the west side of ~~680 to be named Stoneridge
Drive, and that the street from Hopyard Road to ~~680 be named Hansen Drive,
with an additional request that the proposed school and park also be named
after Mr. Hansen.
There were no objections from the Commissioners on the above-named proposals,
except that the request is for one name to apply to the entire street, rather
than having a street name change in the middle of the block.
12.REFERRALS FROM RECREATION AND PARK COPPfISSION
a. Recreation and Park Commission Recommendation Re: Credit for Private Recrea-
tion Areas Under Park Dedication Ordinance
This matter was passed under Recreation and Park Commission Resolution
No. R-68-21, and the Commissioners felt that since this information had just
been given to the members at the meeting itself, it should be deferred for
comments until the Commissioners had a chance to study the resolution.
13.MATTERS FOR INFORMATION OF C02~Aff SSION
a. A report on air pollution prepared by Dr. Todd V. Crawford, Chairman of the
City of Livermore Air Pollution Control Study Committee was presented to
each of the Commissioners. It was suggested by Commissioner Plato that no
action be taken by the Planning Commission on this report.
b. Mr. Castro then advised the Commissioners that he received a telephone call
from a Mr. Withoft of the Trinity Lutheran Church regarding completion of
landscaping for said Church. Mr. Withoft indicated that materials had been
purchased, plans are ready, but street improvements are now underway in that
area by Morrison Homes and he needs additional time for the planting of the
trees to put in grading. A time extension of 30-60 days on his Use Permit
was needed and this the Commission granted him.
There being no further business, upon motion of Chairman Antonini, seconded by
Commissioner Plato, and carried, the meeting was adjour t 9:09, PM.
ti y
fir'
cretary
- 4 -
,._ ,
