M I N U T E S <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />Pleasanton, California <br />Multi-Purpose Room - Valley View School <br />480 Adams Court <br />October 9, 1968 <br />The regularly scheduled meeting of the Planning Commission was called to order by <br />Chairman Antonini at 8:00 PM. <br />1. ROLL CALL <br />PRESENT Commissioner Arnold <br />Commissioner Plato <br />Chairman Antonini <br />Secretary Castro <br />ABSENT Commissioner Garrigan (illness in family) <br />Commissioner Gibbs (in hospital) <br />2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />Upon motion of Commissioner Arnold, seconded by Chairman Antonini, and carried, <br />the minutes of the October 9, 1968 meeting were approved as submitted. <br />4. REVISIONS AND OMLSSIONS TO THE AGENDA <br />Additions• <br />8a. Joint Study Session of Planning Commission and City Council <br />8b. Letter from MacKay & Somps regarding change of name of Foxpoint Road on <br />west side of 4680 to Stoneridge Drive. <br />8c. Change of name to Hansen Drive, for that length of street running from <br />Hopyard Road to X680. Also, an additional request that the proposed school <br />and park in that vicinity also be named after Mr. Hansen. <br />12a.Recreation and Park Commission Recommendation Re: Credit for Private Recrea- <br />tion Areas Under Park Dedication Ordinance. <br />13a.Air Pollution Report prepared by Dr. Todd V. Crawford, Chairman, City of <br />Livermore Air Pollution Control Study Committee. <br />13b.Request of Trinity Lutheran Church for an extension of landscaping require- <br />ment under their Conditional Use Permit. <br />6. NEW BUSINESS <br />a. RZ-68-9, Dorothv N. Johnson <br />To rezone that property as described in Map Book 946, Block 2528, a portion of <br />Parcel 6 containing 4.01 acres commonly known as 3574 Vineyard Avenue from a <br />R-1 (Single Family) District to a RM- (Multiple Family) District. <br />Chairman Antonini opened the Public Hearing. Planning Director Castro explained <br />that a communication had been received from a Mr. Carl E. Walter, a homeowner <br />in the immediate vicinity, urging the Commission to deny the rezoning appli- <br />cation. <br />The General Plan was displayed and the Planning Director pointed out that the <br />area in question is presently recommended for single family with the properties <br />across the street proposed for commercial and office zoning.
