Mr. Carl Walter, 627 Rowell Lane. Requested <br />that the two separate petitions sent in: One <br />from the residents in Vineyard Terrace and the <br />other from residents in Vintage Hills, be read. <br />This, Commissioner Garrigan complied with. <br />Upon motion of Chairman Antonini, seconded by Commissioner Arnold, and carried, <br />the Public Hearing was closed. <br />RESOLUTION N0. 829 <br />A resolution of the Planning Commission of <br />the City of Pleasanton, recommending to the <br />City Council the denial of Zone Change 68-9, <br />filed by Dorothy N. Johnson. <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of <br />Pleasanton, has considered Zone Amendment <br />Petition No. 68-9, filed by Dorothy N. <br />Johnson to amend Sec. 4.102, Zoning Ordi- <br />nance No. 520, to change the zone district <br />designation from R-1 (Single Family) to <br />RM- (Multiple Family) on property described <br />as follows: <br />Portion of Parcel 6 <br />Map Book 946, Block 2528 <br />Town of Pleasanton <br />or that property commonly known as 3574 Vineyard <br />Avenue. <br />WHEREAS, said Commission has held a Public Hearing on <br />this petition and has examined the pertinent <br />maps, drawings and documents and finds that <br />one or more of the following conditions do <br />exist: <br />1. That the proposed amendment will <br />be contrary to the spirit and intent <br />of the General Plan, <br />2. That the proposed amendment is <br />not in the public interest and general <br />welfare, <br />3. That the proposed amendment creates <br />a less equitable condition for the <br />community than now prevails. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Planning Commission of the City of <br />Pleasanton hereby recommends to the City <br />Council the denial of said zone change <br />amendment as petitioned. <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED BY the Planning Commission of the City of Pleasanton on the <br />13th day of November, 1968, by the following <br />vote: <br />Ayes: Commissioner Arnold <br />Commissioner Garrigan <br />Conm<issioner Gibbs <br />Noes: Chairman Antonini <br />Absent: Commissioner Plato <br />Attest: Secretary Castro <br />- 2 - <br />
