PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION N0. 2822 <br />RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF CASE PUD-86-9, <br />APPLICATION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON FOR A SENIOR <br />HOUSING PROJECT <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has applied for rezoning from the <br />"A" (Agricultural) and CS (Commercial Service) to PUD <br />(Planned Unit Development)-High Density Residential <br />District; and development plan approval to construct a <br />22o unit senior citizens residential complex to be <br />located on an approximately 9.2 acre site located <br />generally in the area west of the railroad tracks of the <br />Southern Pacific Transportation Company at the southern <br />terminus of Old Bernal Avenue; and <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of August 13, 1986, the Planning <br />Commission recommended approval of the negative <br />declaration prepared for this proposed rezoning and <br />development plan after considering all public testimony, <br />relevant exhibits and recommendations of the City staff; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission found the proposed zoning and <br />development plan to be in conformance with the City's <br />General Plan. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1: Recommends approval of Case PUD-86-9, application of <br />the City of Pleasanton for rezoning from "A" <br />(Agricultural) and CS (Commercial Service) to PUD <br />(Planned Unit Development)-High Density Residential <br />District; and development plan approval to construct a <br />220 unit senior citizens residential complex to be <br />located on an approximately 9.2 acre site located <br />generally in the area west of the railroad tracks of the <br />Southern Pacific Transportation Company at the southern <br />terminus of Old Bernal Avenue subject to the following <br />conditions: <br />That the development be substantially as shown on <br />the plans, Exhibit A, on file with the Planning <br />Department, except: <br />a. The landscape plan shall be revised to <br />incorporate the following changes: 1) the <br />minimum width of the landscape strip between the <br />parking stalls and property line shall be 3 ft.; <br />2) different tree species shall be proposed for <br />- 1 - <br />
