PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 2823 RESOLUTION CERTIFYING THE EIR PREPARED FOR GP-85-9, APPLICATION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON FOR THE ADOPTION OF A COMPREHENSIVE GENERAL PLAN WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has applied to adopt a new General Plan (GP-85-9). The General Plan is a comprehensive land use and policy plan which guides the future development of the community; and WHEREAS, the Plan covers a 43 square mile Planning Area which lies generally between I-580, Isabel Avenue, Highway 84 and Pleasanton Ridge; and WHEREAS, the proposed General Plan designates allowable land use and densities for all properties within the 43 square mile Planning Area and establishes goals, policies, and programs within the following elements. 1. Land Use 2. Circulation 3. Housing 4. Public Safety 5. Public Facilities 6. Conservation and open Space 7. Noise 8. Air Quality WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Pleasanton provided proper public notice of completion of the Draft Environmental Impact Report for the proposed General Plan; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held public hearings on the Environmental Impact Report prepared for this case on July 23, 1986, August 27, 1986 and September 3, 1986; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has accepted and responded to the comments to the Draft Environmental Impact Report from public agencies having jurisdiction by law, persons having special expertise with respect to any environmental impact involved, and other persons or organizations having an interest in the proposed General Plan; and WHEREAS, the Final Environmental Impact Report has been prepared and contains the Draft Environmental Impact Report, comments and recommendations received on the Draft Enviornmental Impact Report, and the responses of the - 1 -
