PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2823 <br />RESOLUTION CERTIFYING THE EIR PREPARED FOR GP-85-9, <br />APPLICATION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON FOR THE ADOPTION <br />OF A COMPREHENSIVE GENERAL PLAN <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has applied to adopt a new <br />General Plan (GP-85-9). The General Plan is a <br />comprehensive land use and policy plan which guides the <br />future development of the community; and <br />WHEREAS, the Plan covers a 43 square mile Planning Area which <br />lies generally between I-580, Isabel Avenue, Highway 84 <br />and Pleasanton Ridge; and <br />WHEREAS, the proposed General Plan designates allowable land use <br />and densities for all properties within the 43 square <br />mile Planning Area and establishes goals, policies, and <br />programs within the following elements. <br />1. Land Use <br />2. Circulation <br />3. Housing <br />4. Public Safety <br />5. Public Facilities <br />6. Conservation and open Space <br />7. Noise <br />8. Air Quality <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Pleasanton <br />provided proper public notice of completion of the Draft <br />Environmental Impact Report for the proposed General <br />Plan; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held public hearings on the <br />Environmental Impact Report prepared for this case on <br />July 23, 1986, August 27, 1986 and September 3, 1986; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has accepted and responded to <br />the comments to the Draft Environmental Impact Report <br />from public agencies having jurisdiction by law, persons <br />having special expertise with respect to any <br />environmental impact involved, and other persons or <br />organizations having an interest in the proposed General <br />Plan; and <br />WHEREAS, the Final Environmental Impact Report has been prepared <br />and contains the Draft Environmental Impact Report, <br />comments and recommendations received on the Draft <br />Enviornmental Impact Report, and the responses of the <br />- 1 - <br />
