PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 2869 RESOLUTION APPROVING UP-86-48 FOR JOHN K. SMITH WHEREAS, John K. smith has applied for a conditional use permit to allow religious assemblies in a portion of an existing industrial building located at 1035 Serpentine Lane in Valley Business Park; and WHEREAS, the property is zoned PUD-Industrial District; and WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hearing of November 25, 1986, the Planning Commission made the following findings after considering all public testimony, relevant exhibits and recommendations of the City staff concerning this application: A. That the proposed location of the conditional use is in accordance with the objectives of the zoning ordinance and the purposes of the district in which the site is located. A chapel in Valley Business Park will not interfere with the purposes and uses of the PUD (Planned Unit Development) - Industrial District. Worship services and church meetings will be held during non-business hours of the Park, Sundays and weekday evenings. B. That the proposed location of the conditional use and the conditions under which it would be operated or maintained will not be detrimental to the public health, safety, or welfare, or materially injurious to the properties of improvements in the vicinity. The location of the chapel is within a business park and will not be detrimental to the public health, safety or welfare or materially injurious to adjacent properties. All services will be held within an existing building during non-business hours of Valley Business Park and will not adversely affect property or workers within the Park. C. That the proposed conditional use will comply with each of the applicable provisions of this chapter. The proposed church facility will comply with all provisions of Chapter 18.124 of the Pleasanton Municipal Code. - 1 -
