Task 5. ~isting Utilities Investigation. Contact City's <br />Water System and Sewer System Maintenance Departments, and <br />other utility companies for existing utility information <br />along the trunk sewer alignment. Conduct field investigation <br />to verify the locations of existing utilities which might <br />affect the installation of sliplining insertion pits. <br /> <br />Task 6. Review Existing Geotechnical Information. Review <br />available existing geotechnical information covering the <br />project area to be provided by the City. <br /> <br />Task 7. Prepare Preliminary Drawings and Specifications. <br />Using 1-inch equals 50-foot aerial photograph negatives, <br />provided by the City, prepare construction drawings for <br />sliplining, to a completion level of approximately 50 <br />percent. Design shall be limited to recommended <br />rehabilitation of the trunk sewer from DSRSD Treatment Plant <br />to Chabot Canal. Design of additional rehabilitation <br />upstream of Chabot Canal is not included. It is anticipated <br />that only plan view of construction drawings will be <br />prepared. Prepare draft specifications. Brown and <br />Caldwell's bidding and contract requirements sections will be <br />used as the general provision sections of the <br />specifications. Provide fi~e sets of preliminary plans and <br />specifications for City's review. <br /> <br />Task 8. Prepare 90 Percent and Final Drawings.~ <br />Specifications, and Construction Cost Estimates. Upon <br />receipt of City's 50 percent review comments, prepare <br />construction drawings, specifications, and construction cost <br />estimates to 90 percent completion level. Provide five sets <br />of the drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for <br />City's review. Upon receipt of City's review comment, <br />finalize construction drawings, specifications, and <br />construction cost estimates. Provide forty (40) sets of <br />plans and specifications for bidding purposes. City will <br />advertise for bids and distribute bid documents. <br /> <br />Task 9. Bid Period Services.
