Subregional Planning Element <br />Policy 11: Encourage the continuation of agricultural uses in the Tri Valley. <br />Program 11.1: Actively support and participate in the Tri-Valley Conservancy. <br />Program 11.2 Support agri-tourism, land preservation, and agricultural-enterprise <br />enhancement programs of the Tri-Valley Business Council's <br />Working Landscape Plan.tt <br />Program 11.3 Support the policies of Alameda County and the City of Livermore <br />which promote preservation of agriculture in the region. Require <br />that developers of new projects provide a buffer between <br />proposed projects and areas designated fox agricultural use. <br />Policy 12: Enhance community identity through the protection of community separators, <br />scenic hillsides, and ridgelines. <br />Program 12.1: Encourage the preservation of a contiguous Tri-Valley open-space <br />system through land-use policies, and land dedication/acquisition <br />and conservation easements, using the Tri-Valley Conservancy and <br />other entities. <br />Program 12.2: Plan for the incorporation of scenic hillsides and ridgelines into a <br />contiguous open space system connecting parts of the Tri Valley. <br />Program 12.3: Continue to participate in the Altamont Landfill and Resource <br />Recovery Facility Open Space Advisory Committee and support <br />the acquisition of key open-space parcels with these funds. <br />Program 12.4: Acquire land or open-space easements to create community <br />separators between developed areas of the Tri Valley. <br />Policy 13: Implement a strong pro-active approach to air-quality plamiing with other local, <br />regional, and State agencies. <br />Program 13.1: Continue to cooperate with the BAAQMD in monitoring and <br />controlling air pollutants in the Tri-Valley area, and in enforcing <br />State and federal air quality regulations. <br />Program 13.2: Notify local and regional jurisdictions of proposed projects which <br />may affect air quality, as required by the California Environmental <br />~uality Act. <br />~~ Tri-Valley Business Council, Agricultural Water Task Force, "Working Landscape Plan," January 2005. <br />Subregionol Planning 060507, clean 14-19 Cify Courxil 6/5/2007 <br />
