Subregional Planning Element Program 4.2: Seek public/private cooperation to ensure a mutual understanding of Subregional housing needs, common housing development practices, finance marketing, and ways to lower housing costs. Natural Resources Program 4.3: Establish a cooperative program to designate specific sites for the provision of homeless shelters and related services, and investigate public and private sources of funding for these facilities and services. Program 4.4: Continue to look for opportunities to provide shelter and emergency housing in the Tri Valley, based on the Sojourner House model. Program 4.5 Continue to support sub-regional housing organizations and initiatives such as East Bay Housing Organizations (EBHO), Alameda County's EverylHome Plan, and the Tri-Valley Housing Opportunity Center. Program 4.6 Evaluate the sub-regional need for affordable and transitional housing fox various populations, including families with children, seniors, singles, and small families. See also the Housing Element for policies and programs on inclusionary housing in Pleasanton. Also implement programs from the Housing Element to provide housing opportunities for Pleasanton workers of all socioeconomic levels so at to shorten the distance of worker commutes and help improve the Tri Valley's jobs and housing balance. Program 7.1: Encourage the establishment of a Tri-Valley airport advisory committee for providing Subregional input into decisions relating to the operation and potential expansion of the Livermore Municipal Airport. This advisory committee could also explore opporh~iuties to provide activities at the airport that would benefit the Tri-Valley community.
