Subregional Planning Element <br />Program 4.2: Seek public/private cooperation to ensure a mutual understanding <br />of Subregional housing needs, common housing development <br />practices, finance marketing, and ways to lower housing costs. <br />Natural Resources <br />Program 4.3: Establish a cooperative program to designate specific sites for the <br />provision of homeless shelters and related services, and investigate <br />public and private sources of funding for these facilities and <br />services. <br />Program 4.4: Continue to look for opportunities to provide shelter and <br />emergency housing in the Tri Valley, based on the Sojourner <br />House model. <br />Program 4.5 Continue to support sub-regional housing organizations and <br />initiatives such as East Bay Housing Organizations (EBHO), <br />Alameda County's EverylHome Plan, and the Tri-Valley Housing <br />Opportunity Center. <br />Program 4.6 Evaluate the sub-regional need for affordable and transitional <br />housing fox various populations, including families with children, <br />seniors, singles, and small families. <br />See also the Housing Element for policies and programs on inclusionary housing in <br />Pleasanton. Also implement programs from the Housing Element to provide <br />housing opportunities for Pleasanton workers of all socioeconomic levels so at to <br />shorten the distance of worker commutes and help improve the Tri Valley's jobs <br />and housing balance. <br />Program 7.1: Encourage the establishment of a Tri-Valley airport advisory <br />committee for providing Subregional input into decisions relating <br />to the operation and potential expansion of the Livermore <br />Municipal Airport.
