54. Policy 10: Program 10.1: We are asking business to do energy efficiency reviews? Do they know how
to do this? Is there a guideline currently for them to follow? Is this something new the Planning
department needs to do?
Program 10.2 helps answer this question. Because the two programs axe in sequence, staff does not
think it necessary to further define Program 10.1. The city council could direct staff to combine these
two programs mto one program.
55. Policy 11: We have a Generator Siting Ordinance? Could I read a copy of it?
The City passed the Generator Siting Ordinance in 2003 and then codified it into Chapter 18 of the
Municipal Code (see attached).
56. Policy 12: Does staff feel that we need a feasibility study for CCA? I thought this had already been
done?
Staff has almost completed the feasibility study for Community Choice Aggregation. The City Council
will most likely review this within the next few months. The Council could make the following
changes to Program 12.1:
"Based on the results of a pending "T'~~feasibility study for a Community Choice
Aggregations program work with other cities. as appropriate. to bring about
Community Choice Aggregation."
McGovern's Q&A, Energy Element 10 5/25/2007
