Leslie Mendez
From: Karen Skinner f
Sent: Tuesday, May 01, 2007 9:45 AM
To: Leslie Mendez
Subject: PUD-61 concern
I currently rent an apartment at 568 St John St. This may not pertain to this particular application, but
my concern is that more apartments will then be allowed in this area. If this is allowed, I can say that the
parking will be impossible. Right now there are times when I have to park a block away from our
complex. Granted this may not be anyone elses problem but because our 10 apartment complex only
provides 1 parking space per apartment and almost everyone has 2 or more vehicles that puts 10 vehicles
on the street just from our complex. let alone the other homes in the area.
If another apartment complex is allowed, I hope that they will be required to provide at least 2 spaces
per apartment. It may not be fair, but something should be done so that the residences can park within a
block of thier homes.
In the summer with the Downtown activities, I have had to park as far away as on the other side of the
RR tracks and then walk 3 blocks back to the apartment. I know its good exercise but besides that, its
not too enjoyable after working all day long.
I know that I could move, but I do like the area and I just wanted to get my 2 cents worth in.
Thank you
Karen Skinner
5/2/2007
