Pleasanton Planning Commission Apri123, 2007
200 Old Bernal Avenue
Pleasanton , Ca. 94566
]ZE; PUD-61
Commissioner Philip Blank,
In response to the letter dated March 28, 2007 from Bonnie and Fred Krichbaum to Donna
Decker requesting a continuance. (See attached)
In their letter they point out that the original approval was conditioned with the stipulation that it
couldn't be split. I can see where this would be of concern if my property was located in a single
family residential neighborhood. This is not the case. Our property is only 1 block off Main
Street. Not the typical location for a Granny unit.
They state that they are concerned that this would be setting a precedence. This would not set a
president because of the approved PUD-37 Winters, which is right next door. These decisions are
and should be made on a case by case bases.
They were concerned about density. Approving this PUD dose not change the density. The
existing density will stay the same. There will be no impact to the area, visually or other wise!
Lastly, they talked about Heritage and greed. I can assure you that I have as much or more
concern about what happens in Pleasanton as anyone. My family is a "Heritage Family" with a
street named after us and residing in Pleasanton since the mid 1870s. This is only one of the
reasons I spent as much time and effort building my home. I know it's a point of pride to me, my
family, the neighbors and anyone who drives by it.
Separating our 2 homes won't change anything. All it dose is allow each family to own our
homes separately, free to enjoy the rights of ownership without effecting each other. There is no
greed involved.
Emij~ 1Gfargie`Oxsen
// ~,
~~
~~ C ~` ~.~j ~~
~ Jam.
~~~~' ~a \J ~D
;aPR ``L ;3 2007
,-~ OPi ~t,~!G SU`~EP~ON
a~~.~~
