3. Maintenance of one (1) lighted gate, with number-pad lock, adjacent <br />masonry walls, and iron panels in an operational condition at the base of <br />the Road. <br />4. Abatement of weeds four feet (4') on each side of the Koad or to a natural <br />ledge or berm. <br />5. Install safety features for [he Road, which may include, but are not limited <br />to: a new crash barrier at the base of the Road., new signage regarding <br />how to drive on the road, and reflectors. <br />b. All work or use done under this Agreement shall conform to the standazds and <br />specifications established by state and local law. <br />II. MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE <br />The maintenance work shall be completed according to the following schedule: <br />a. On or about January, May and September of each year, there shall be a field <br />review of the Road and alf cracks on the Road which are significant or harmful to <br />the sat8ty and the passable condition shall be sealed. <br />b. On or about December, February, and March of each yeaz, herbicides shall be <br />applied to areas of weed growth on four feet (4') of each side of the Road or to the <br />top of a natural ledge or berm. <br />c. On or about May and October of each year, debris shall be removed from the <br />storm drains adjacent to the Road. In addition, drain grates will be cleared of <br />debris following major storms as needed. <br />d. On or about May and September of each yeaz, weeds shall be removed on four <br />feet (4') on each side of the Road or to the top of a natural ledge or bean. <br />e. The gate, number-pad lock, and gate light shall be repaired as necessary, or as <br />needed in the event of damage or vandalism if the responsible party carmo[ be <br />located. <br />f In 2004, and every five (5) years thereafter, the Road shall be seal coated, except <br />in years when asphalt overlay is applied pursuant to the following subsection. <br />g. In 1999, and every twenty (20) years thereafter, the Road shall be asphalt <br />overlaid. <br />San[m Ranch Roetl Neinlcoan¢ Agreement <br />
