Motion: It was m/s by Sullivan/Thorne, to adopt Resolution No. 07-108 approving the <br />issuance of revenue bonds by the California Statewide Communities Development Authority <br />to benefit the ValleyCare Health System. Motion passed by the following vote: <br />Ayes: Cook-Kallio, McGovern, Sullivan, Thorne, Mayor Hosterman <br />Noes: None <br />Absent: None <br />MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCIL <br />Councilmember McGovern commented she would like to see the Council hold a spot on the <br />agenda in early June to discuss the Mobile Home Park issue to consider whether or not to <br />consider an ordinance. The City Manager noted he could hold a spot on the second meeting in <br />June for that discussion. <br />The City Council also directed that staff compose a letter for the full Council's signature to the <br />State Agency regarding safety issues at the mobile home park. Council, at the behest of a <br />member of the public, also inquired if the insurer of the property is aware of the <br />safety/maintenance issues at the Park. Council asked staff to look at if there is an opportunity to <br />pursue that avenue of enforcement. <br />Councilmember McGovern, referencing a memo from the City Attorney regarding effective dates <br />of conditional use permits and design review approvals where some changes might be made, <br />asked if the Council would be interested in looking into this matter. There was Council support to <br />discuss this matter further. <br />COUNCIL REPORTS <br />22. Brief reports on conferences, seminars, and meetings attended by the Mayor and City <br />Council <br />Councilmember Thorne indicated he attended an Environmental Policy Committee Meeting <br />for the League of California Cities and reported the major issue they dealt with was giving <br />guidance to the lobbyists on how to deal with all the global warming legislation that is <br />currently floating through the legislature. <br />Councilmember Cook-Kallio reminded the Council and the staff that they are invited to the <br />dress rehearsal of "We the People" on Monday night, the 23~d of April. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 10:45 p.m. <br />Respecttully submitted, <br />Karen Diaz <br />City Clerk <br />City Council Minutes 13 April 17, 2007 <br />
