to the requirements of the Act, so as to jointly pursue a cost- effective, expeditious and well-coordinated approach for optimal planning both at the local and county levels. The general responsibilities of the Authority and Agencies are delineated in this Agreement. 2. Duties of ~uthority The Authority shall fund, contract for and coordinate, in a county- wide sense, the activities and work program required to produce SRRE's for the Agencies. These responsibilities shall specifically include, but not necessarily be limited to, the following duties: 2.1 Levy fees sufficient to generate revenues to meet SRRE planning expenses. 2.2 Contract with consultant for SRRE work on behalf of the Agencies. 2.3 Coordinate the Integrated Waste Management Advisory Task Force participation in the SRRE effort. 2.4 Coordinate public hearings and other public forums as required on a county-wide basis. 2.5 Assemble the SRRE's produced for the Agencies in a comprehensive countywide document. 3. Duties of Agency Each Agency shall work with the consultant retained by the Authority and assure the production of a local SRRE which complies with the requirements of the Act and also meets the specific needs of the Agency. These duties shall include but not necessarily be limited to the following efforts: 3.1 Participate actively and assure that the local SRRE process is completed on a timely basis to enable assembly and submission of a countywide document. The Agency shall not, however, be accountable for delays in the completion of work which are the responsibility of the Consultant. 3.2 Provide day-to-day information, coordination and direction to the consultant in developing the Agency SRREo 3.3 Designate an Agency SRRE project manager who shall be the official contact person for the consultant, and to participate in all project management meetings with the Authority and Agencies.
