4y~,~-saNToy <br />CITY of PLEASANT N <br />~, •~/ . ~ <br />4~ <br />~° Planning Commission <br />+IVM f~ <br />MINUTES ~OF REGULAR MEETING. <br />Date : May 27, 190 <br />Time : 8:10 PM <br />FIaCe; Pleasanton Justice Court <br />MATTERS FOR <br />COMMISSION'S REVIEW <br />REFERRALS FROM <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />re being no further testimony, the Public <br />ring was closed. <br />A resolution recommending that the area <br />encompassed under the Sunol Boulevard Study, <br />and bounded on the north and south sides <br />by Sonoma Drive and on the west by Sunol <br />Boulevard, be retained in the I-P (Industria <br />Park) District, with the further stipulation <br />that should some other light industrial or <br />commercial service use be proposed, that <br />Council consider said request in a favorable <br />light. <br />Interim Uses of Industrially Planned or <br />Zoned Property - this item was a request fron <br />the City Manager that the Commission consider <br />the possibility of allowing interim uses for <br />industrially planned or zoned property until <br />the time that the property is ready to be <br />developed in that category. In particular, <br />mobile home parks were being considered <br />.for this use. <br />After some deliberation and considerable <br />discussion, the Commissioners concluded that <br />the Commission would not look favorably <br />upon mobile home parks as an interim use, but <br />that they would be willing to consider a <br />proposal individually, one which is clearly <br />temporary in nature; in addition, the <br />Commission wished to emphasize that they <br />would not support mobile home parks as inter <br />uses in property that is now harvesting sand <br />and gravel. <br />The Commissioners were informed that a joint <br />study session between Commission and Council <br />was being scheduled, preferably around June <br />Among items to be discussed would be the <br />history of zoning for those properties lying <br />southeast of Bernal Avenue and Castlewood. <br />- 6 - <br />
