4y$ASAJV jD,L T 0
CITY of PLEASAN N
~ './ . ~
`~ ~~~° Planning Commission
`~LMfD e
MINUTES ~OF REGULAR MEETING.
~GtB ~ June 10, 1970
Time : 8:10 PM
PIOCB: Pleasanton Justice Court
Mr. Jack Bostedt, representing the applicant s
engineer, was present to answer any ques-
tions that might be directed to him on this
matter.
The matter of park dedication had also been
resolved as per discussion with the Directo
of Parks and Recreation.
There being no further testimony, a reso-
lution recommending approval of Final Map
~i~3173 - Falender Homes - was entered and
passed subject to conditions of Planning
and Public Works Departments.
MATTERS FOR Letter from City of Fremont regarding a
INFORMATION OF joint land use plan for the Niles Canyon
COMMISSION area - This was a communication from the
City Council to the Recreation and Parks
Commission and Planning Commission request-
ing their views on participation in any
program for the preservation and enhancement
of the Niles Canyon area as a Fr ime recreati
and leisure area.
The Commissioners felt that the question was
a valid one, and fully endorsed the plan,
being willing to volunteer the services of
representatives from Pleasanton, but that
financial support would be questionable at
this time.
The results of the brightness readings of
signs of the Pleasanton Hotel, Lou Frank
Realty and Robo Car Wash and Union Oil
Station, were given to the Commission. All
signs are in accordance with the ordinance.
It was felt that perhaps the ordinance
should be reviewed and that perhaps be
revised to lower the number of foot lamberts
permitted for each sign.
- 6 -
