_ 4v~~.3A~V~O,L <br />CITY of PLEASANTON <br />~ ~'i . <br />4~ <br />`~~~° Planning Commission <br />~llM i~ S <br />MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING. <br />DGte ; August 26, 197C <br />Time : silo PM <br />PIaCe; Pleasanton Justice Court <br />re Mr. Leonard McVicar and Jim Belda of <br />sco, both associated with the proposed <br />ltiple development. <br />This multiple development will be a garden <br />home concept similar to a single-family home, <br />and in conjunction with the balance of the <br />community, would own the open space area <br />of said multiple development. <br />Each garden home unit is located within a <br />complex containing three to six units. Each <br />will have a large private, fenced patio. <br />There will be two covered parking spaces. <br />There will be 93 additional spaces provided <br />on site. There will be118 on the street, <br />for a total of 743, or 2.8 parking spaces <br />per unit. <br />There will be 2, 3 and 4-bedroom units. <br />Laundry facilities are contained within each <br />unit. These units will front on landscaped <br />pedestrian areas. Parking and vehicular <br />traffic is designed to run along the rear of <br />the homes. Variety of elevations will be <br />utilized. <br />The size and shape of the open spaces them- <br />selves create an environmental appearance <br />Color schemes of the homes will be provided <br />also. <br />Automatic irrigation systems are being used <br />throughout the complex. <br />Then Mr. McVicar again utilized slides to <br />aid in describing the open spaces and recrea- <br />tional spaces available. He showed designs <br />Besco is presently working on for the play <br />units to be placed through the development. <br />Also shown was some ideas of the picnic areas <br />shuffleboard courts, checkboard courts, <br />horseshoe pits, and the quiet, passive areas. <br />- 2 - <br />
