4y$~s""~°y CITY of PLEASANTON <br />~~, . <br />.~ <br />~~° Planning Commission <br />NNfO ~ <br />MINUTES ~OF REGULAR MEETING. <br />DCtB ; December 8, 1970 <br />Time : 9: ~JO PM <br />PIGCe: Pleasanton Justice Court <br />Commissioner Pereira observed that he <br />thought that Mr. Bud Newman, Mackay's rep- <br />resentative, on November 24, 1970, had <br />advised that when Mackay ran an ad, they <br />opened the model home complex on a weekend. <br />Concern was expressed in the parking situa- <br />tion coming into the entranceway and a Mr. <br />Del Rundskal, also felt that other resident <br />in the area should have been notified of <br />the change in the parking location for the <br />model homes. Chairman G~rrigan explained <br />that the Commission felt only the people <br />living directly across from the models and <br />directly affected, should have been notifie <br />Mr. Rundskal was assured that adequate <br />parking facilities are beinb provided; als <br />in time the entranceway the residents are <br />presently using is in actuality a temporary <br />access and will be closed off when the <br />through street to Golden Road is completed. <br />A Mr. Mclermott, resident of Mackay-Del <br />Prado, verified that the model home complex <br />has been closed for almost two months. He <br />further advised that at the time he receive <br />his tax bill, he contacted the Alameda Coun <br />Tax Assessor's office to explain the situa- <br />tion existing in the development. His par- <br />ticular assessed valuation had gone up <br />almost $4,000 in six months. The represents <br />true for the area discussed the matter with <br />Mr. McDermott and admitted a mistake had <br />been made. Mr. McDermott requested a cont- <br />inuance of this approval pending the home- <br />owners gathering sufficient information <br />regarding the apparent condition of Mackay' <br />business. <br />Chairman Garriban advised the gentlemen tha <br />there is little the Commission can do about <br />the manner in which Mackay is conducting <br />their business beside holding up approval <br />for the construction of the additional <br />model, but that they should present their <br />- 4 - <br />
