4y~,~-3ANjoy` T 0 N
CITY of PLEASAN
~ './
`~*°°t Planning Commission
~NMf° t
MINUTES ~OF REGULAR MEETING.
DCt@ ; January 26, 1971
Time : 8:0o PM
PIaC@: Pleasanton Justice Court
The Commissioners agreed with Mr. Campbell's
opinion that the storm drainage matter would
have to be handled on a case by case basis,
but the question of street lighting could
possibly be settled that evening.
After considerable discussion, a motion was
offered by Commissioner, seconded by Vice
Chairman Pons and carried, to recommend to
City Council that the policy established for
street lighting in public streets apply to
private streets as well.
Mr. Fairfield also advised the Commission
that the City of Walnut Creek has a n ordi-
nance on maintenance of street lights in
private streets.
The Commissioners were advised of the AIP
conference being planned for public official
at the Jack Tar Hotel in San Francisco on
March 11 and 12, 1971.
'iRegarding the field trip proposed by The
'Tecton Company, for Saturday, January 30,
',the Commissioners were unsure whether they
could participate.
Mr. Aiello advised the Commissioners of a
'Housing Element Seminar planned for January
in Modesto. None of the Commissioners could
attend.
Commissioner Hirst made the request that the
staff investigate the Alpha Beta future
shopping sign presently located at Hopyard
and Black. It is too close to the intersec-
tion and presents a traffic sight obstruc-
tion. Commissioner Hirst requested that the
sign be moved back a little.
- 5 -
