'4~~,~SANj°y
CITY of PLEASANTON
~~; .
~~° Planning Commission
'~MYfD f
MINUTES ~OF REGULAR MEETING.
~GtB February 9, 1971
Time : s:2s PM
Place: Pleasanton Justice Court
The original estimate on the General Plan
for the Vintage Hills showed a population o
26,000, which would generate a 10 acre
commercial parcel.
Regarding the two parcels just south of
Vineyard Avenue, the staff would recommend
retaining the commercial in 10 acres and
the C-F parcels - to coincide with the Gener 1
Plan - in tha Multiple classification.
Mr. Fairfield requested, for his client,
that the commercial be reduced to 5 acres
and retain the two C-F parcels as such,
with the remaining 9 acres from the commer-
cial parcel to be zoned to the multiple.
Discussion followed on these possibilities
as well as the parcel lying at Pico Avenue
and Vineyard Avenue, presently outside the
City Limits. On the General Plan, this
area is shown as Public and Institutional.
The staff voiced no objection to either
proposal.
Considerable discussion followed.
A resolution was offered, seconded and
passed, approving GP-70-5, with the follow-
ing modifications: reduce the Commercial
to 5 acres, with the remaining 9 acres to
be placed in the Multiple, excluding those
parcels lying south of Vineyard Avenue
on Exhibit A, retaining them in the Multipl
classification, as presently noted on the
General Plan. Further, the Commission wish
to emphasize that they recognize that at
some future date, there is a possibility th
5 more acres, for commercial would be neede
as the need develops.
- 2 -
