4y$~-3AJVTOy CITY of PLEASANT~N <br />~ '~~ • <br />`~~*~° Planning Commission <br />~NM{~ t <br />MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING. <br />D Ct8 ; March 23, 1971 <br />Time : s:oo PM <br />PIGCB: Pleasanton Justice Court <br />ROLL CALL Commissioners Present: Hirst, Pereira, <br />Pons, Wood. <br />Commissioners Absent: Chairman Garrigan. <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES IThe minutes of the meeting of February 23, <br />1971, were approved as submitted. <br />REZONING REQUEST Edward Schlies - application to rezone from Resolution: <br />RZ-71-2, Approved, the A (Agricultural) District to the 0 Seconded: <br />Res. 1074. (Office) District that property described Ayes: <br />as Parcel 4, Block 1151 of Alameda County Noes: <br />Assessor's Map Book 946, containing 15.69ac. Absent: x <br />more or less, or more commonly known as Abstain: <br />the northeast corner of Santa Rita Roa d <br />and Mohr Avenue, Pleasanton. <br />The Public Hearing was opened by Acting <br />Chairman Pons. <br />Commissioner Hirst inquired of the Acting <br />Secretary if there were any population pro- <br />jections for the vicinity in close proximity <br />to this parcel which would probably benefit <br />from a use of this sort. The reply was no, <br />but that there are overall projections by <br />sector, and if the Commission requests this <br />information, the Planning Department can <br />work up population projections for the area. <br />An estimate of 6,000 people was given for <br />the vicinity. <br />Mr. Jack Bras, architect for this project, <br />spoke representing Dr. Schlies and <br />Dr. Clementson. <br />Mr. Bras went on to explain that if one <br />took into consideration the 22.91 acres <br />zoned on the General Plan for the Central <br />Business District, it will be noted that <br />much of this proposed office zoning in the <br />CBD is along the railroad extending along <br />First Street from the Arroyo, goes past <br />Kirth's Furniture and continues to where <br />Main and First intersects. <br />x <br />x~x <br />- 1 - <br />
