Commissioner asked for
confirmation that this will be in
the same price range and of what is
being sold now. Mr. Schumaker an-
swered that there is additional cost
in this type of housing that you
don't have in single dwelling units.
At this time members of the audience
addressed the Commission. Mr. David
Stathem, 5145 Springdale Avenue, a
resident of Stoneson, stated that he
purchased a home in the first tract,
which was the cheapest model. Now,
with the addition of the second tract
he ii as the second most expensive home
The house next door to him is selling
for $6,500 less than his own and he
feels that his property value has
dropped considerably. He stated that
he was led to understand the type of
roof would be different than composi-
tion. Mr. James Schoonmaker, Jr.,
5129 Springdale Avenue addressed the
Commission. He stated that he lives
next door to the previous speaker.
He found it hard to believe that the
developer would change the materials
if the cost was to be the same. Mr.
Ken Meyers, 4572 Denker Drive address
ed the Commission. He stated that he
bought in a tract with the belief
that it was a quality tract, and he
felt the roofs should be shake rather
than cedar. Mr. Yvan Albert, 7926
Hillsboro Court, a Stoneson resident,
addressed the Commission by saying
that one of the features promised
was American materials and after
checking under his sink, he found it
labeled "made in Japan". The Public
Hearing was closed. Commissioner
-6 -
