No. 1108, <br />Denied <br />opment to be located on property <br />described as Parcel 5-13, Block 946 <br />of the Alameda County Assessor's <br />Office, containing 51.8 acres, more <br />or less. Property generally located <br />on the east side of Sunol Boulevard <br />and north of the Mission Park devel- <br />opment. The matter was continued un- <br />til August 24, 1971 as per applicant' <br />request. <br />Morrison Homes - Variance to allow a <br />.reduction in the required parking <br />space width for covered spaces in the <br />R-1 (Single-family) District for <br />,approximately 94 lots of Tract 3254. <br />There were no questions regarding the <br />lstaff report and Mr. Castro had no <br />further comments. The Public Hearing <br />was opened. Mr. Dudley Frost was <br />(,present, representing the applicant. <br />Mr. Frost displayed a map of Tract <br />3254, and described the house sizes <br />to be put on the lots, which are <br />variable in size. Mr. Frost suggest- <br />ed that the sideyards be reduced to <br />accommodate the 20 foot garage for the <br />two plans indicated, a reduction from <br />17 feet of sideyard to 15 feet, four <br />inches. <br />The Public Hearing was closed. <br />Commissioner Pons requested clarifi- <br />cation regarding the date of passage <br />of the garage ordinance. The City <br />Attorney reported that it was in May <br />of 1968. Chairman Garrigan question- <br />ed the filing of the tentative map <br />and it was reported that it was filed <br />five years ago, and extended across <br />said area. The tentative was refiled <br />late last year.
