4y~~3Aly~y CITY of PLEASANTON <br />~~ ~'i. <br />.o <br />~~° Planning Commission <br />+rrao t <br />I MINUTES ~OF REGULAR MEETING. <br />Date : October 12, 1971 <br />Time : 8:0o P.M. <br />PIOCe; Pleasanton Justice Court <br />Chairman Garrigan asked if anyone else <br />wished to speak, and at this time <br />Joseph Madden, 3851 Vineyard Avenue, <br />addressed the Commission and expresses <br />concern regarding this project, speciā€¢ <br />fically, the 500 feet of common <br />frontage with this project. It was <br />felt that this should be made into an <br />assessment district, but Mr. Madden <br />didn't believe that the majority of <br />the adjoining property owners would <br />enter into such an agreement. There <br />was considerable discussion and <br />Pleasanton Greens representatives <br />agreed to discuss the formation of an <br />assessment district with the surround <br />ing property owners. <br />Commissioner Hirst entered a resoluti <br />to approve the reduction in the park- <br />ing requirements. This was seconded <br />unanimously . <br />Commissioner Hirst then entered a <br />resolution to allow elimination of the <br />required covered parking. This was <br />seconded by Chairman Garrigan and <br />carried, with Commissioners Hirst, <br />Pons, and Wood voting aye, Commission. <br />Pereira abstaining, and Chairman <br />Garrigan voting no. <br />There was more discussion regarding <br />the design review application and <br />several conditions were added for <br />consideration. Commissioner Pons <br />entered a resolution to approve <br />Z-71-91 with the added conditions <br />that site plan and elevations for the <br />'elderly housing be returned to the <br />'full Commission after staff review; <br />that Vine Street assessment district <br />negotiations be entered into by the <br />applicant; that automatic irrigation <br />~r <br />-3- <br />
