His objections were not only <br />with regard to land use, but the circulation <br />problems that would be caused by pending <br />applications. He stated that it is staff's <br />recommendation that this be denied without <br />prejudice, or be continued until the Homart <br />application has been resolved. <br />The Commission continued this matter until <br />January 25th meeting. <br />CONDITIONAL Citizens Federal Savings and Loan Associatio Resolution: <br />USE PERMIT To allow a savings and loan insititution to Seconded: <br />UP-71-24, Denied locate in a C-N (Commercial Neighborhood) Ayes: <br />Res. No. 1140 District on the southeast corner of Hopyard Noes: <br /> Road and Valley Avenue, Pleasanton, or more Abstain: <br /> commonly known as the Alpha Beta Shopping Absent: <br /> Center area. <br />Mr. George C"lark, Vice President of Citizens <br />Federal Savings and Loan, was present, <br />representing the applicant. He outlined for <br />the Commission information that was prepared <br />by their Research Department. His report <br />shows that in Pleasanton they have nine <br />million dollars in loans, two million dollar <br />in FHA commitments to close in 1972 and <br />$300,000 in deposits. He also stated that <br />they believed they could serve Pleasanton <br />better 'oy the shopping center location and <br />that parking appears to be inadequate in the <br />downtown area. <br />In response to a question by Commissioner <br />Pons as to whether they would consider anoth r <br />site within Pleasanton, Mr. Clark replied <br />that it takes 6 to 8 weeks and approximately <br />$6,500 to prepare an application through the <br />Federal and State agencies and it would take <br />further study to determine if they would <br />refile for another location. <br />X <br />- 2 - <br />
