4y~~sA~~°y CITY of PLEASANTON <br />,o <br />t Planning Commission <br />'~MMfD <br />MINUTES ~OF REGULAR MEETING. <br />DGte : February 22, 1972 <br />Time ; 8:00 PM <br />Pla C8; Pleasanton Justice Court <br />Commissioner Pereira and carried unanimously <br />Chairman Garriga n entered a resolution that <br />all other property on the exhibits be placed <br />in the Study District fora maximum time of <br />six months to be reviewed as indicated on <br />the Blow-ups in the individual areas with <br />Blow-up A to be further divided down Main <br />Street so there will be four individual area <br />This was seconded by Commissioner Pons. <br />Commissioner Hirst amended the resolution <br />so that the staff provide the Commission <br />with a time-table for the review of the <br />areas in question. <br />The amendment was voted on with all Com- <br />missioners voting "aye". <br />The resolution was then voted on and all <br />Commissioners voted "aye". The resolution <br />was carried. <br />City Attorney, Bill Hirst, advised the I~ <br />Commission that there are two ways this <br />Ordinance could be put into effect. 1) ~' <br />With a 30 day referendum period following <br />adoption or 2) on an urgency basis, effective <br />immediately, in order to protect the health, <br />safety and general welfare. This would <br />require a 4/5 vote of the Council. If the <br />Commission felt that urgency was necessary, <br />it could so recommend to Council. <br />Commissioner Hirst entered a resolution that <br />we recommend to Council that this Study <br />District be adopted on a n urgency basis. <br />This was seconded by Chairman Garrigan and <br />carried unanimously. <br />- 7 - <br />
