4y~,~-sANToy <br />CITY of PLEASANTON <br />~% <br />,~ <br />`~ ~~° Planning Commission <br />...o <br />MINUTES ~OF ~~~ MEETING. <br />DGte : March 21, 1972 <br />Time : 8:0o P.M. <br />PIQCe: Pleasanton Justice Court <br />MATTERS FOR <br />COMMISSION'S <br />INFORMATION <br />Mr. Fairfield indicated that it <br />would take about one year for the <br />completion of design and leasing of <br />the space to the major tenants and <br />about two years for construction, <br />indicating a completion and occupan <br />date of 1975-1976. <br />First phase development of three <br />major department stores would requi <br />a trade area of about 175,000. <br />A motion was then offered by Chairma <br />Carrigan to encourage the applicant <br />to come forward with an application <br />and at such time recommendations <br />would be made to City Council and <br />staff to further work towards recog- <br />nition of this application. This <br />motion was seconded by Commissioner <br />Pons and carried. <br />reminded the Commissione <br />PM meeting on March 22. <br />Discussion followed on a suitable <br />night for the Planning Commission <br />meeting as the regularly scheduled <br />date falls on April 11, Election Day <br />in Pleasanton. <br />There was brief discussion of <br />possible attendance at a planning <br />seminar for Commission members . <br />Mr. Castro told them that he is work <br />ing out details to have them attend <br />an Institute of Planning Commissione <br />seminar in October, in lieu of the <br />League of California Cities seminar. <br />-6- <br />
